So he is being Van de beek'd.
Everyone who wanted Amad to go on a pl loan should pay attention to this. At their age Amad/Pellestri minutes are the most important and I believe the championship, Holland or even Belgium should suffice. Hopefully this experience humbles Pellestri similar to how Chong got humbled in Germany (he refused a Netherlands loan) now look at him getting minutes and doing well in the championship.
Agree, the Championship is perfect for loaning players to. It’s in England for a start, there’s loads of games and a lot of managers in there are after jobs in the PL and try to play decent football.
Why would we not have? He wasn't bought to be an immediate first teamer.Given that we wanted to buy Amad and Sancho was our ultimate target, why did we buy him? It's not like he cost 2 millions too.

Since when have clubs not purchased a gamble player for development just because they have another target in the same position. All clubs who can afford it do it.
They won against Atletico, not bad. And he was trusted to play 30 minutes in a game against a top opposition. And his team desperately needed the points. He played a good 30 minutes as a sub vs Atletico (1-0 win) today. How'd he do? No mention of him in the highlights.
He’s played for Leeds 4 times and he hasn’t even contributed to a goal yet, no need for the exaggeration.I remember some posters stating that Pellistri should be in the team over Daniel James at the start of the season,
Now James is putting in solid performances for Leeds week in/week out and Pellistri cannot get a start for the team languishing second bottom of La Liga...
To be fair he wanted to go back there whereas the club were thinking something else.So basically what most of us said would happen last Summer will inevitably happen.
Hard to see any logic in the loan and it's yet another thing that makes me question the intelligence of the decision makers at the club
Not an exaggeration at all, hes been putting in good performances whereas Pellistri can't get a start for a poor la Liga team, thats just how it is!He’s played for Leeds 4 times and he hasn’t even contributed to a goal yet, no need for the exaggeration.
That tweet is so misleading.
They have played 8 games. He has:
Squad: 7, Starting eleven: 1, Substituted in: 6, On the bench: 0, Suspended: 0, Injured: 0
So every time he has made the squad, he has featured in the team. He has played an average of 28 mins/ game. Remember he is 19 years old as well and playing in La Liga, not some small time league...

You seem strangely excited Pellistri’s loan hasn’t gone as intended? Bit odd but each to their own, I suppose if you’d rather have your year old opinion validated than one of our actual current players do well then, by all means, continue. Not an exaggeration at all, hes been putting in good performances whereas Pellistri can't get a start for a poor la Liga team, thats just how it is!
Unlikely to develop that much with 28 mins per game for Alaves.
Not sure how you got that I was 'strangely excited' by my post! You seem strangely excited Pellistri’s loan hasn’t gone as intended? I think it's to early to say it's been a disaster move - but evidently the club would prefer him to be starting more.I get what you're saying, but James has been subbed off in most of his games for Leeds, and only really played decent in his last outing. He's ahead of Pellistri in his development, though. Annoyingly, this loan has turned out shite, like plenty of our other outgoing loans tend to do.
Sancho was 17 in his first season at Dortmund to be fair.He is 19 years old, getting game time in a top European league.
In Sancho's first season at Dortmund, in 34 games:
Squad: 15, Starting eleven: 7, Substituted in: 5, On the bench: 3, Suspended: 6, Injured: 8
Sancho averaged~57 mins/ game, but from when he became eligible (GW7) to just before his first start (GW17), he played just 16 minutes of football in 11 games of football. 3 of those games he missed due to injury [1].
If we applied the same logic you would also be saying that was a bad transfer too.
Just let it play out and judge it at the end of the season. Give the lad a chance and see what happens.
In the summer, most people didn't say he wouldn't be playing. They said he could "do better", or would be better served not playing in a relegation scramble. So basically what most of us said would happen last Summer will inevitably happen.
Hard to see any logic in the loan and it's yet another thing that makes me question the intelligence of the decision makers at the club

I don't think he can go on loan outside of the transfer window? He'd be recalled to play in the reserves. I think it's too early to recall him. Give him a chance to earn more minutes. He played 30 mins against Atletico Madrid (or was it Real?), it's not like they're not using him.Id be happier to see Pellistri in the championship learning English football instead of sitting on the bench in Spain
Yep, I remember there was quite a few along with myself who said he shouldn't be going back to Alaves. It was blatantly obvious from last season he wouldn't see regulsr game time.So basically what most of us said would happen last Summer will inevitably happen.

Dan James hasn't done anything particularly impressive at Leeds and most Leeds fans are really disappointed that they wasted money on signing him rather than strengthening their midfield or defence. Neither James or Pellistri are anywhere near to being good enough to get into our 1st XI (or bench for that matter). Pellistri's loan will be terminated in January I'm sure, wasn't too happy about the loan in the 1st place but Facundo clearly liked the club and wanted to return. The Dutch league would be a solid league for him and Amad to go to for now, not great defending but they'd get regular game time with very talented attacking players and then they can always go on loan again the following season to a team in Germany, Portugal or another high quality league if they do well. Some of the top Belgian clubs also have some good attacking players atm and might be a decent alternative if no clubs in the Eredivise are interested.
