Thanks lads. This thread can be closed then I’ll have a read through this
I know the Netherlands were too disappointed about the loss in the semis to care that much about the match against Croatia in 1998; but they did care about it in 2014 against Brazil. Different expectations, maybe. Also a more prestigious opponent, maybe that matters as well.

Since 1982 a Bayern Munich player has been involved in every world cup final
That may well be true, but I wasn't talking about the size of the challenge. No matter how rubbish Brazil is at a given moment in time and how good Croatia, Brazil is still the more prestigious opponent. It's a question of reputation.Brazil 2014 was garbage, only more prestigious in name, i would take Croatia 1998 all the way over that horrendous Brazil team that got smacked 7-1 at home with some defensive amateur bloopers.
Germany was the best team of the tournament, but even Algeria caused them more trouble than that rubbish Brazil...that says it all.
The third place match is prestigious and what he said is right but I can understand the likes of Germany/Brazil not being as fused or playing it like the SF/F.German dipshit here. We usually call it the "small final" and German teams in general try to win it. It might not be played by the usual first team to give some bench players time to actually participate in the tournament, but they surely play to win it, as Germany proved in 2006 and 2010. 2006 was for example Oliver Kahn's last match for the NT while he was replaced by Jens Lehmann as Germany's first choice goalkeeper for the tournament.

Brazil in general was not that bad. Against Germany Thiago Silva and Neymar were missing, and the rest of the team had a complete mental breakdown due to it. That's what made the 7-1 possible.Brazil 2014 was garbage, only more prestigious in name, i would take Croatia 1998 all the way over that horrendous Brazil team that got smacked 7-1 at home with some defensive amateur bloopers.

Edit
New information has just come to light and it turns out he played in 10 finals and scored in one.
He scored in the final of the 2003 confederations cup final
Aaron Lennon's goal against ManUtd yesterday was his second goal for Burnley....he's only managed to scored 2 goals since the 2016/17 season.
Can’t believe he’s still in the league to be honest. Looked him up and he is only 34 but has been around forever! Been in the league more than half of his life!
I cant believe as an attaker he has scored so little, I mean thats 2 goals in 5 years...How does he keep getting new contracts? yesterday he was Burnley's best attacker but god damn those are the worse numbers I've remember seeing from a professional player. Can’t believe he’s still in the league to be honest. Why does that pic looks Photoshoped.Jesse Lingard is a father
If a match is moved forwards it will take place 2 hours later because time is linear and we move around it rather than time moving towards us.
It just came to me, if ac Milan become the Italian champions then three generations of Maldini members will become Scudetto winners.
Super cool.
If a match is moved fowards it will take place in the "correct" time for people playing/watching it. Time looks linear if we are fat enough to be really affected by gravity and forced to accept the speed of casuality, because its easier for nature to move into degradation than to repair itself, what creates an ilusion of linear time and arrow of time.If a match is moved forwards it will take place 2 hours later because time is linear and we move around it rather than time moving towards us.
Yes but have you factored in Jon Moss into your calculations? If a match is moved fowards it will take place in the "correct" time for people playing/watching it. Yes, but i thought it was implicit on my scientific argument against the concept of flow-of-time that its not valid in cases where Liverpool is involved. Its well known in the Physics community that there are special laws of nature applied to Liverpool.Yes but have you factored in Jon Moss into your calculations?
Jack Wilshere has won goal of the season twice in a row, the only player to do so (13/14, 14/15)
Wayne Rooney and Bergkamp have won it twice but not in a row
