Fabregas set for loan

Never thought he'd be on the wane this fast/early. Suppose he's been around for ages, but never really relied on pace and physique much.

More intelligence and great technique.

Is he on the wane though? Last year everyone at Chelsea bar Willian were really poor, it was a collective issue and their new manager don't use this type of player.

Ever since he met that missus of his, he has lost his focus on the game.

Still a good player, but clearly not Conte type player. He needs to be carried in a team which isn't the vogue anymore. People are obsessed with people who can run and press well, passing and assisting seems secondary.

He will find a good team, somewhere like PSG would suit him very well.

It's a step back but if Valencia have some ambition, they could sign him and build around his qualities like Villarreal did with Riquelme.

Wasn't he amazing for like a 12 month period between Chelsea coming 2nd and then winning the league?

Ibra was 'poor' at Barcelona too...!
Yeah started the season on fire for Mourinho in his 2nd season, wilted a bit around christmas then got a few more assists at the end of the year.

Did sweet FA the next year though.

A aging star, exactly what we need.

In all seriousness I'd take Cesc here.

Cesc - Herrera
Mata - Pogba - Martial
Zlatan

No way are Chelsea strengthening us. I would like him here though. But, could he please put some effort in his football instead of being carried around by others?

Who'd have thought it 5 years ago: Fabregas-Wilshire midfield combination for Bournemouth

PSG would be ideal for him.

He is one of the greats in terms of creating chances but, he does not really have a natural position. He lacks the pace and trickery you expect as a #10, he lacks the mobility and energy you expect of a midfielder and lacks the defensive ability you expect in a holding midfielder.

I'd fecking love him here, not happening though.

He's not a bad player, not even close. His physicality is just shot. He needs to play in a slower paced League like Pirlo at this stage of his career.

I don't see what the point is in loaning him out, we'd be losing squad depth. He's a decent player and only 29, he still has a place in this team.

And why don't we just sell him, why loan him out? It'd be very stupid from the club if we did that.

It seems the best you can hope for as a premiership footballer is a career of 12 years. The younger you start, the sooner you are finished. Fabregas was a regular for Arsenal at 16. Now he's over the top and now longer the force he was.

Was only a few seasons ago people were describing any idea of signing Fabregas as beyond possible, and an embarrassment of us to even try.
Funny how things change.

He's lost a yard of pace and now looks ponderous

Would never take him here. If he isnt good enough for Chelsea, then he isnt good enough for us. We can keep Schweini then. In a few years he will be totally useless in the top leagues or for a top club.

Some people must have not watched Fabregas for the last two seasons then If they badly would love to have him here?

His legs are gone very very similar to the decline Rooney has had so what's the point in buying Fabregas just for people on here to complain about him after every match like Rooney gets here.

Wouldn't want him after leading us down the garden path in 2013. He's over the hill anyway, will probably end up at Milan or another Serie A club.

Would love him here, wouldn't have to start every game but would be a massive asset in breaking down stubborn defenses.

I can't see where he could play in our current set-up. Nowhere near mobile enough.
Can't see 3-4-3 lasting forever, it will eventually get found out. Still need other options unless the club is looking to sign someone like Koke.
