Sevilla ace Luis Fabiano admits this could be his last season in Spain.

Fabiano is keen on a move to England, where he has confirmed the interest of Premiership clubs.

He said: "In Seville I'm very well, but I've reached the age when I think it is high time to measure myself with a big club.

"A couple of times I have been close to landing in the English Premier League: Chelsea last year, two years ago it was Manchester City."

I think it was in FourFourTwo a few months back where he said he'd only play for Manchester United in England because he thinks he'd suit our style of play and has a great respect for Sir Alex.

Glad our name wasn't included.

Wonder why he said that? Has it been his dream to put on the famous Red;)

Brazil international Luis Fabiano has hinted he could be interested in a move to Manchester United.

The 29-year-old Sevilla striker, who will spearhead Brazil's World Cup campaign this summer, has one year left on his contract with the Primera Division club.

"If you are asking me what team I most admire it is Manchester United," he is quoted as saying in Friday morning's Daily Express.

"If you play under Sir Alex Ferguson then you are probably going to win a title or another major trophy."

Luis Fabiano has won two UEFA Cups and a Copa del Rey with Sevilla, for whom he has scored 90 goals in 187 games.

Would take some pressure off Rooney and if they could develop an understanding it would be a great strikeforce for us.

At the right price it's a yes from me,too much emphasis is placed on youth and resale value, you need some here and now players as well and this guy is one of them.

Well we have Rooney, Berbatov, owen, Hernandez, Diouf, Kiko and other youngsters so it's pretty well packed. I would say only Rooney will get you twenty goals probably and that's the only worry. When Rooney isn't fit...

He would be a risk because of the fact he's not played in England but he's a good goalscorer in his prime. At a minimal cost, he'd probably force his way into our first four but anything too high pretty much rules that out.

So basically it won't happen. Which is a shame as Fabiano is a goalscorer. Him and Rooney and we'd 'probably' be in the semis of the European cup and that is where the difference comes in. That's why he'd probably be of some interest.

Too old. Too expensive. I'll pass, thank you.

His contract expires next Summer surely he will be value for money for whoever purchases him.. I am not too keen on him coming to United though.. Although if he does I am sure he will do a decent/good job..

If we could get him for 6/8 million (based on the players desire and as you say one more year to go) I reckon we should take it. Ok, he fights like a girl but I think he could get into double figures easy and the facts he's experienced means he wouldn't be a threat to the long term future of kiko etc

He's a very good finisher from what i've seen but it's all speculation anyway

He has been saying he wants to play under SAF since last summer now iirc.. There has to be something to it.. SAF must have some sort of interest for him to keep claiming he wants in.. Also his age and price are exactly why I think he is one of our targets!

He's not a here and now player though, he took over two seasons to settle at Sevilla and he didn't settle at all at Porto despite coming for a big price at the time.

He's got a very questionable mentality.

are you joking? probably?

If we sign him he would be no2 to Rooney without a doubt,he is about to lead the line for the second favourites at the world cup

:) what's with the rolleyes smiley?

It depends. If Berbatov steps up and shows his spurs form, who do you play? Could rooney and Fabiano play together? Maybe....

But it's all speculation. So less of the GRRRRr and then we'll see if something happens. I am aware of Fabianos quality. However it's not that simple. They'd be rotation and if players are scoring number 2/3/4 don't really matter

He is about play in the world cup as the main striker for Brazil, that will do for me.In my opinion he will be a huge improvement on what we have here bar Rooney.

sorry for the smiley but I think he would be a marked improvement on Berbatov,he has had his chance and while I dont want to join the anti Berba bandwagon he has failed to live up to expectations so it's time to move on and try someone else.Fabiano fits the bill on price and he has stated he would like to join us which is a big plus for me.

it's ok ;) we'll just have to see if there's anything in it. Berbatov really could do with scoring a few in the remaining games for his confidence

He'd be good for us for the right price, although i doubt we'll buy a striker without first moving one out. Owen will definitely be back next year.

I was so excited when we signed Berbatov as I thought he was the nearest thing out there to our Eric but I think the weight of the fee and the size of our club have weighed poor Berba down and in my opinion it is time to cut our losses and bring in some new blood. It is like groundhog day for me keep hoping he will produce his Spurs form but I just don't think it will happen.Lets face it for 30 odd mill it hasn't worked out,no bad feelings and I would wish the fella well but enough is enough.

Would be an excellent addition to the squad imo, and is at the perfect age to allow the youngsters to develop properly before breaking into the first team

I have read many people say that.. I am not doubting it just haven't seen the quotes where SAF has said he will 100% stay and be ready for next season?

I would look to do some sort of swap deal that involved Berbatov. Both are around similar age and Sevilla get something out of it and we get a striker who can score.
