You had the great Duncan Edwards scoring six goals a game then and we have to make do we the likes of Ryan Tunniclife.
What the hell's that supposed to mean?

Why so?
I must admit I don't really understand the point either, and where do you get that Tunnicliffe is more ready mentally then the others?
No one really knows who is more ready until they play for the first team.
Mate, i'm concerned about this post. You are worrying over nothing. Not everyones a simpleton who does the same thing again and again and again. It sounds to me some people want perfection, which is crazy standards. Even the 90's bunch weren't entirely perfect........it's hard to believe but there you go. What you describe is not a problem at all.
The times I've seen him play, I like the way he drives the side on as well as finding space in midfield. He has a very canny resemblance to Vieira in many ways in the centre of the park. Just like you'd see Vieira's gangly legs evade challenges as he ran with the ball at the opposition, Pogba has a very similar running style and technique. Pogba has the makings of an excellent footballer, and he should be given a loan spell now to see where his development is at.

Obviously I'm judging purely from matches.
Morrison can have overly selfish moments (like against Chelsea, where he seemed determined to try and dribble when passes were on.), he can also lose his head when he gets frustrated. Again look at the Chelsea match, first game back from suspension (for hitting out at a defender) and he loses it at half time because the referee gave a foul when he got the ball. I was Morrison's biggest defender during the whole trial incident, so Im not just hating on him for no reason.
I can actually see him playing for the first team next season, I can just see a learning process ahead (similar to Wayne Rooney's (with discipline) or Ronaldo (with not showing off all the time))
Pogba can drift through games not applying himself. He has also shown that he can sulk when things aren't going his way. The sulking is a bigger issue than consistency issues. He also needs to work on his defensive positioning and tactical sense.
They are both great talents, and I have high hopes for them these are just concerns I have after watching them over the last few years.
Tunnicliffe just seems to handle things going against us well. He seems a really balanced lad, and redoubles his effort when things are going wrong. Seems fairly strong defensively and tactically.
Maybe you disagree.
The slightly overhit comment was tongue in cheek.
I'm not asking for him to be Zidane crossed with Keane with the spirit of Pele.
I'm saying that I haven't seen him demonstrate a range of short passing techniques in the time I've seen him in the u-18s and reserves. When the short pass along the ground isn't on he tends to run with the ball to make space rather than trust his ability to make the pass, where as (for example) Pogba or Morrison show great ability to pass the ball past players who would intercept the pass along the ground.
While of course this wouldn't stop him from a role with the first team, he just wouldn't be as effective from an attacking sense, which he likes to do, and against the more defensive teams in the league if his manipulation of the football isn't right when he's high up the pitch this could result in a break up of our attack. (Think Park Ji Sung vs a defensive side)
We can disagree both on content and on importance of what Im saying, thats fine. Its a forum, people are meant to debate. No need to be concerned.
Its not like I'm being a reactionary and saying they aren't going to make it because they haven't scored a goal in every game this season, but I'm not being blinkered and saying we have 30 youngsters that are brilliant and will play for United no matter what and will win everything.
I think that they are great talents that can go on and play for the first team, they aren't perfect as any sensible person knows but have a damn good shot.
Ryan is no Duncan Edwards but no need to be so f'in disparaging. He is a good, courageous little player
Think he was more preventing Rav getting at the referee.
Always think too much is read into body language and things, Morrison is involved in the celebration for the third, don't think there's any obvious issue there.
Thanks GII.

That's what I thought, didn't see any problems between Morrison and Keane
Just to re-affirm that - http://www.daylife.com/imageserve/0bfDe3ibfGgKY/x999.jpg
Yeah but they aren't looking into each other eyes.
gutted just checked sky sports this isn't on I thought they usually show the youth cup final, will have to try and find a decent stream.
Does anyone have a link to a stream for this?
Thanks
Anyone going?
My p2p has a veetle stream
Their first team's highest attendance this season is 23,000, which is 9,000 short of a full house. Amusing. They're expecting a full house. Can't wait.
