FA Youth Cup

Tunnicliffe...Worst case, he turns out to be a Cattermole. Best, Roy Keane?

Pointless to make such comparisons. But I do think he'll be a PL level player if he can avoid injuries.

I'd say he will definitely have a career in the Championship, hopefully in the PL.

Wherever he ends up playing the fans will absolutely love him. Those lung-busting runs he goes on are brilliant to watch. He almost conjured up an equaliser through sheer force of will.

Tunnicliffe reminds me more of a young Steven Gerrard than a Roy Keane.

Nice Pogba gif that I just saw on twitter

Few more bits from the match that would be worthy too, great feet.

His footworks top drawer. He's a tall lad but it's all very easy. I much prefer him in advanced positions where I think he enjoys it more.

Yeah, there was another lovely bit I think maybe in the first half, taking it away from a player or two from a standstill with a similar turn that was pretty deft. If he fills out and couples that with the technique whilst getting box to box, he'll really be quite an intimidating player.

Pogue, is there really such thing as too much Zidane spin? Although, he does seem to do it several times a match...There was a point though early in the second half when he had a great chance to shoot, but tried to beat too many men. Could do with just taking the easy option at times. Still, experimenting is what the youth sides are all about.

Yeah, that's what I mean. A bit over-elaborate at times. Also a few occasions in the centre of the park where he'd dwell on the ball, inviting a challenge so he could do something flashy. He's young, though, and enjoying his skills. Better to be young and skilful than old and grumpy ;)

I think Striker10 is right about him enjoying playing further forward. As far as lanky, black, French midfielders go I think he might end up more of a Diaby than a Vieira. Hopefully a significant upgrade too.

Hope he doesn't get played too much like Diaby though...the guy's had a shit load of injuries

Eamon Mulvey on YG&R was saying that about 9 of the squad had been with the club since the age of 8, and Will and Michael Keane joined at 10. It must have been one of the first years that Meulensteen worked with as Mulvey said that Norwood's year was too early for him.

Nice line-up

Johnstone, M Keane, McGinty, Thorpe, Fornasier, Tunnicliffe, Cole, Pogba, W Keane, Morrison, Van Velzen

Bench - Massacci, Coll, Lingard, Lawrence, Blackett

Got it from PS18s twitter - United's lineup this evening - on Twitpic

Great chance tonight, should be a fun match.

Really strong lineup.

I'm glad that Van Velzen has been given the nod over Lingard, he's really started to show his talent in the last few games so another chance to show what he can do. Plus Lingard lacks positional discipline slightly, comes inside too much when we need width. Cole is also playing well and will keep the shape.

Only other concern is perhaps McGinty against their pace on the counter attack, but lets see how he copes!

Should be a great match. Come on UNITED!!!! :D

Good news. All as expected really and Cole keeping his place wide right. Can't wait for the match - only half an hour away!

Can't wait for this

What a footballing feast tonight! think the sky plus is going to be getting some use tonight :D

Was going to post the same! I'm still undecided as to what to record and when. Will definitely watch the Youth Cup semi, probably record the Real-Barca Copa del Rey final and then record the Spurs-Arsenal highlights or something. I'll probably end up flicking through all the matches regardless.

Hopefully we get off to a good start against Chelsea tonight, it's a pressure match and getting the upperhand early on could really settle down the players with nerves sure to be jangling.

This is where multiroom comes in handy...united n barca on 1 telly n arsenal on live pause in the bedroom

Hope Pogba takes this game by the scruff of the neck. He can be such a great player, but sometimes he seems to leave responsibility to other players.
Stamford Bridge he proved he can do the job of driving the team. Lets see more of it!!

I think it's awesome we've given it the same pre match build up in the stadium...these players are living the dream out there tonight
