Pogba is an absolute machine...chasing down everything
Lawrence about to come on, I would have liked it to happen a bit earlier, but better late then never. If I have one criticism of McGuiness its that he is very reluctant to make substitutions in big games.
This 2nd-half performance is surprising since our midfield is apparently too slow and doesn't really work.
When is the 2nd leg? Any prospect of having another strikers?
Norwegian Messi coming on for Keane !!!!

Read page 17.
Well done to the lads. Great performance in the 2nd half.
Won 3, drawn 2, lost 7, scored 16, conceded 22.3-2 Full Time
A fit Keane with Morrison and Cole supporting him is good enough to beat anyone at this level. Great commitment right to the end from United. Im pretty sure Chelsea's away record in terms of goals conceded is v poor....

Well, it didn't work and was too slow at the time I said that. Of course the top red police can't pass the opportunity to score cheap points.
Anyway, Imo it was down to chelsea's very high tempo and workrate in the first half, which they couldn't keep up and we were the fresher team in the second half.
Pogba's very good but chasing down opponents isn't his strongest side. I thought defensively he didn't work well enough.

Just got back, was a great game to watch.
Made a ton of noise reeling off song after song. Stewards and police came over to try get us to sit down/relax but realised it was futile!
Pogba was brill, there was a moment in the 2nd half where he was in the box had the ball started showing the footwork and I thought he was about to score another like that City goal but he shut out.
Good performance overall, will definitely get at them at OT
The united fans were brilliant. It really came across on MUTV too.
I don't see as much of the U18s as I do the reserves because of the timings of the games, but I was very impressed with them today. Tunnicliffe seemed to get pissed off and then took the game on with his surging runs and Pogba really imposed himself in the 2nd half. Lingard and W.Keane were also impressive.
My stream died about 10 mins into the second half, but by sound of that it seems as though he did exactly what he did at Anfield when the game threatened to slip away from us. The kind of midfielder we lack at first team level.
How was Dæhli's cameo?
how old is pogba now, is he ready to make the step up yet?
We have some real midfield attacking talent coming through in Petrucci, Morrison, Pogba, Tunnicliffe and others, as well as Cleverley. Can someone with a better memory than me remind me how Gibson started to make his way into the first team? I'm trying to understand the process which Fergie might follow for a few of these youngsters.
I may be overestimating some of the young players at times (I know Petrucci has been out injured for ages) but it seems we have space in our midfield and players chomping at the bit to stake their claim. It's increadibly exciting and I worry that signing established names could restrict the chances of one or more of these guys making it here. At the same time, I've watched reserve games for years when I've followed players who I thought'd be huge for us just fizzle out, like David Jones. Who has the extra bit about them that can see them reach a level so many fall short of?
