A lot of injury time when Liverpool and Arsenal aren't winning games.
Yeah... Funny that.
A lot of injury time when Liverpool and Arsenal aren't winning games.
Totally possible. And I think they'll probably win the league next season and Pep will f off.Would be sort of funny if this version of City stumbled into 2nd place.
Yes, yes we will!Wonder if we'll score 4 against Ipswich?![]()
He's looked seriously over-rated this season when he was required to step up. Saka is by far the real leader and inspiration in that team - the league was lost when he got injured. Can't see Arsenal ever winning the league with Odegaard as captain. Such a boring captain, no winner.
If you don't have goal threats in this league you are nothing. As we know well.Arse only two shots on target in 98 mins at home.
They drew 0-0 at home to Everton and people thought they'd be in with a shout of winning the league, bless.Arse only two shots on target in 98 mins at home.
We're 13 and 14 points clear of safety. We're not going down. Top 10 stuff, fair enoughYes they are but minimally. On one hand the teams around both of us in the league are all picking up points and the teams in the bottom 3 are all losing. A win for either of us today makes us far more comfortable in terms of safety and also maintains a push for top 10.
I remember he got a big PR push when he arrived with a lot of people showing off his stats from years ago despite him being shite for a couple of years, I thought at the time if he had joined United it would have been a very different narrative. Seems a terrible idea to me, glad United avoided him.You can never rely on Arsenal can you!? Sterling must be really terrible for them if he can't get into that team with the injuries they have.
Once they're done with the City and Newcastle games this week, it's a lot easier for Liverpool. Which is why Arsenal needed the win today to put huge pressure on Liverpool at the top.boooos at full time
Liverpool have got some tough games coming up, but not enough from Arsenal to overhaul them. It's Liverpool season (has been for a while)
I agree but I still have PTSD from our past few seasons so it's nice to nip that situation in the bud early. We're 13 and 14 points clear of safety. We're not going down. Top 10 stuff, fair enough
Thank God slot threw away the FA Cup. They would've won at least a domestic treble. This season couldn't get any more depressing![]()
Very overrated playerCan't see Arsenal ever winning the league with Odegaard as captain. Such a boring captain, no winner.
If you say so![]()
What do you think now following that Arsenal result? Feels like a win tomorrow would finish it.Once they're done with the City and Newcastle games this week, it's a lot easier for Liverpool. Which is why Arsenal needed the win today to put huge pressure on Liverpool at the top.
You can tell which team had a midweek game.
I believe it's extremely difficult for Arsenal now. They needed to be close to perfect and this was the easiest of their next 3 games. If you guys do win tomorrow, it's all but done. What do you think now following that Arsenal result? Feels like a win tomorrow would finish it.
I don’t think Arsenal are winning at Forest. Their max is 89 if they win all of their games.
So you're confirming that that with 14 games to go both Spurs and Arsenal were in exactly the same position, five points behind the leaders Leicester and challenging for the title?https://maheshsenni.github.io/dataviz-epl-table-2015-2016/
In the last 14 games (e.g. when spurs jumped into 2nd, to the end of the season):
Basically they only dropped one more point than Arsenal. So for Spurs to have finished top, they would have needed 12 additional points from those last 14 games - e.g. 37 points from 42, because none of the final 14 were against Leicester. Just totally unthinkable form.
- Leicester: W9 D4 L1 of their last 14 games (31 points from 42) finishing on 81 points
- Arsenal: W7 D5 L2 of their last 14 games (26 points from 42) finishing on 71 points
- Spurs: W7 D4 L3 of their last 14 games (25 points from 42) finishing on 70 points
Arsenal lost the top spot by drawing 3 and losing 1 of their 4 games between 2nd Jan and 2nd Feb, dropping 9 points. They then drew a further 5 games. So, as per the history of the last 20+ years, it was another fumble by Arsenal that has been masked by some absurd lie that they were never in it in the first place.
You can't lose something you had no tangible opportunity to gain. If Spurs were top and slipped to 3rd, it would be valid - but that isn't the case (unless you look at Arsenal instead)
