FA Premier League - 19/04/25 to 23/04/25

Bunch of absolutely deluded lunatics arguing about a stonewall penalty.

Stonewall penalty for me. Can't barge into people like that in the box when they are running past you at pace

How did the on field ref not see that? I wonder if this would have been deemed 'clear and obvious' with United. Just remembering the Hojlund one at the Etihad this season.

Looking from the other angle I dont think it looks a penalty. Dias also touches the ball before there’s contact from the looks of it.

How can they deny that and start moaning.

He catches him clear as day

I’d want it if it was for us. And I’d 100% expect it to be given against us

Imagine someone telling you at the start of the season City would struggle for CL football and it wouldn't be because of 115 charges punishment.

If we are calling those fouls then there has to be a discussion around an alternative to a penalty, we see so many incredibly soft pens these days, the impact on the game against the offense is too high.

Neville still saying he is surprised pen was given.

If it was against United he'd be saying stonewall.

There wasn’t anything soft about it. He clearly barged into him and knocked him over. A foul in the penalty box is a penalty. It was obvious the referee was going to have to give it.

Not watched it and I think it's a penalty, can't get more obvious

Ahh I really wanted Rashford to intercept that pass and go on the attack

He definitely got a touch on the ball, but it didn't divert it's path and Ramsey has a real chance of getting to it still by the time he's taken out.
