Tough draw for Arse. Looks like another season without a trophy. Easy draws for all the remaining teams, including us
Maybe the only thing we'll miss about ETH was his cup draw luck.
2 domestic cup draws since he was sacked and we've had Spurs and now Arsenal away for feck sake.
Given we win both of these competitions the past 2 seasons, I can see the hunger for them not really being there to get what would be underdog wins away to good teams. Think it's also just beneficial for us to focus on the league and Europa league and then giving us more training time aside from that, so I honestly wouldn't be that upset about dropping out of the domestic cups early. We aren't at the point where we need a cup win to give the players belief in the manager, it'll be purely fixture congestion and the fight for a trophy of course but not really anything to do with our development, if anything hinder it.We might do spurs in Carabao
Arse away after tough Awat trip is not in our favour.
Have we ever had a set of fixtures with Arsenal away, twice as well as spurs away, Liverpool away and city away, all in less than a month.
To be fair, Liverpool got the same draw we just did last season, and they did knock Arsenal out at the Emirates. Hopefully, we'll do the same.
Not the easiest run for a new managerdo you see that as a negative?
aye. law of averages said they were due an easy one.Punished for winning it.
It also feels like Arse get a hard draw a lot too now
Warm ballsMight be talking out of my arse but I swear we see two of the top 6 face each other in the third round almost every year. Considering the vast amount of teams in the draw surely it’s unlikely.
Warm balls
Along with his negative goal differenceTen Hag took his cup draw luck with him.
He was/is a scouser. Not that surprising surely.Going to be weird seeing all the "Accrington Stanley" stuff, knowing one of the kids is doing life in prison. Sort of takes the romance out of it.
