FA Cup 25 - United progress

Not an ideal scenario but Amorim isn’t afraid of rotation. Let’s hope our spirits are high and there’s competition for places when it comes around. Obviously a lower league home tie would’ve probably given us an easy win, but if we win away against a big team, the momentum it could generate would be bigger.

Arsenal away on the 3rd round? feck off!

Ah well, if we lose it likely helps us with training time and less congestion which is new. We'll push for europa

We've been getting a lot of easier draws over the last couple years, so can't complain much.

Ffs could’ve at least had a decent third round before something tough.

As bad of a draw it gets for us. But oh well, we’ve kind of done well with the draws the last few years so I’m ok with having a little bad luck this time. As long as it’s not going to be theme for the next few years.

To be fair we have maxed out our luck over the past few years with ridiculous numbers of home draws in cups. I’m actually really excited about getting a proper draw in the third half round

Wouldnt be too put out about going out early this time. Last seasons win was great knocking out pool and beating city in final. Id sooner win the Europa this season if we can win a trophy

We have a 100% winning record against Arsenal at the Emirates in this competition, we have also won 8 of our 14 games against them in this competition.

We might do spurs in Carabao

Arse away after tough Awat trip is not in our favour.
Given we win both of these competitions the past 2 seasons, I can see the hunger for them not really being there to get what would be underdog wins away to good teams. Think it's also just beneficial for us to focus on the league and Europa league and then giving us more training time aside from that, so I honestly wouldn't be that upset about dropping out of the domestic cups early. We aren't at the point where we need a cup win to give the players belief in the manager, it'll be purely fixture congestion and the fight for a trophy of course but not really anything to do with our development, if anything hinder it.

Aim to win the Europa League, aim to finish inside the top 5 of the league would be the targets we should have in mind. The other 2 competitions are bonuses that make it more difficult to achieve the main targets.

Those piss easy draws last two years were bound to catch up with us eventually. At least we got a trophy out of it.

Have we ever had a set of fixtures with Arsenal away, twice as well as spurs away, Liverpool away and city away, all in less than a month.

We beat them we can laugh at them

we lose, we'll have extra games off to rest for the busy end to the season

it is what it is, as it'll most likely be the latter

Might be talking out of my arse but I swear we see two of the top 6 face each other in the third round almost every year. Considering the vast amount of teams in the draw surely it’s unlikely.

Tough draw but a good one I think.Nobody is going to get excited about a draw against non league opponents.Away to Le Arse is as tough as it gets so more glory for us if we beat them.
I think we can.

Tough draws are the best because they make winning so satisfying.

The year we won the treble we drew Boro, Liverpool, Fulham, Chelsea, Arsenal and Newcastle in the cup, and then Barcelona, Bayern, Brondby, Inter, Juve and Bayern again in Europe.

Give me those draws every time, rather than going out of tournaments to the likes of Bristol City and MK fecking Dons.

I feel great about this draw even though Arsenal are very difficult opposition.

Win, and we have toppled a major rival in a cup competition. Happy days.

Lose, and we can exit the competition early and get more training time under the new system/coaching staff.

For the last 20 years I’m sure Chelsea have drawn a league one side or below, at home, in the FA cup. They always seem to get an easy draw.

I think we will win that. We will be well into the system by then. Arsenal might be concentrating on the league might have a few non regular playing.

Going to be weird seeing all the "Accrington Stanley" stuff, knowing one of the kids is doing life in prison. Sort of takes the romance out of it.

3rd final in a row probably beyond us. Should try and win the league cup again as Spurs away is winnable and then we’re in the semis. Europa should also be prioritised.
