It was never going to happen. I remember Riccardo's victory here when he basically drove half the race down a cylinder in his engine or something. Yet no one could over take him still

Alonso has made a career out of showing all the problems with F1 the past 10 years.
Well, at least we will get to see Hamilton get lapped.

I love qualifying here but cant wait for this track to be shunned.

In all honesty if I was him I'd be doing exactly the same. No reason to risk anything and no risk in driving slow here. It's the huge cars, stupid rules and even worse organization that is at fault for these "performances".

Alonso was slower for probably 3 seconds too in first 10 laps after the restart. He was 30 seconds behind after around 10-12 laps if I saw that well.
So not laps but time left.

Alonso was driving deliberately slowly though, so he could cover with pace way above his average speed where it matters on this track.

And it will always be a waste of time. The fact that a driver can drive 3 seconds a lap slower and nobody behind him can over take anybody behind them.

It was that lockup that degraded Checo's tires.
Hamilton drives into Ocon and Ocon gets 5 second penalty because Hamilton moans.
