F1 2022 Season

No, the front and rear wing upgrades were for performance, not porpoising.

Just because Toto says something doesn't mean its true
Sure if you say so. Obviously you know more than Mercedes do about porposing and outwash.

So Red Bull Change Max's DRS system.
I presume it is permitted under the rules.
Is DRS not a vital part of the car, should it not come with some sort of penalty?

Well no, because it's the same spec.

Normally, teams are not allowed to replace any part under the Parc Ferme regulations, but as long as the part being replaced is identical, these types of repairs are allowed.

They haven't done anything wrong here.

I just know enough to know that front wing endplates do zero to address porpoising, and the rear wing in Miami was more for performance than to help the bouncing. And the engine upgrade this weekend, again, entirely a performance upgrade and nothing to do with porpoising.

You don't seem to appreciate that Toto and Lewis are heavily media trained. When they talk to the media it's not their aim to let you know every little thing that's going on. Toto particularly wants to frame all their problems around porpoising because they have 3 engine customers and Ferrari have leap frogged their power unit. Very obvious.
Obviously all the other F1 experts are idiots, who released videos explaining the updates in miami. The front wing updates specifically were to do with the end plates and moving the outwash away from the front tyres where it can linger and cause issues further down the car as the air is channelled into the sidepods.

The rear wing and beam wing upgrades were to help with porposing and fix airflow issue to the rear of the car.

The engine upgrade is a engine upgrade and nothing to do with porposing obviously.

But you know better than everyone. Dont really have time for fanboys, rather discuss stuff with people who can present a balanced argument based on facts. You continue your anti Mercedes agenda with other people, I'll just ignore you.

Heat is going to be a problem today, Horner already said that's his main concern.
It could all come down to who handles the heat and their tyre's the best.
red bull DNF I suspect! their cars can’t handle the heat

The dreaded 'tyre and brake temp mgmt'. Hopefully that stint wint be too long and as the fuel comes down they can actually do some racing.

Charles has a set of new softs, reckon they might go for three stops with him and leave Sainz on the two stop strategy.

softs will last about half a lap in this heat

Could we see DNF's through overheating here, or does the air temperature mostly impact the tires?

They just put the football on the channel I was watching! Sat there thinking it was fecking long advert. Thankfully noticed just in time.

Would be nice to see Carlos do well. Hopefully a good battle between Max and Charles. Or let’s just have George torpedo into the front three just for the drama.

Hamilton on Mediums will probably drop him back a few places on Lap 1, 4D chess overthinking from Mercedes again.
