F1 2019 season

Looking like a cracking race is instore.
Lewis , Bottas and Seb and Max will be fighting it out.
Leclerc will have to see were he starts from , 10th or from the pit lane.
If Leclerc starts from 10th, he might make it up to P5-P4 with Ferraris straight line speed.

It will be an eventful race, I think if they play it right and get a bit of luck Leclerc can still win from there. I’ll certainly be checking his odds anyway.

Top 10: Bottas, Hamilton, Vettel, Verstappen, Perez, Kvyat, Norris, Giovinazzi, Raikkonen, Leclerc

Out in Q2: Sainz, Ricciardo, Albon, Magnussen, Gasly
Out in Q1: Stroll, Grosjean, Hulkenberg, Russell, Kubica

Perez is always Prime Senna in Baku. Will probably get another podium here tomorrow.

Red Bull’s Pierre Gasly has been hit with his second major penalty of the weekend – this time for his Honda-powered RB15 exceeding fuel flow limits during qualifying.

The Frenchman, who was already set to start Sunday’s Azerbaijan Grand Prix from the pit lane after a weighbridge infraction in practice, was disqualified from the results of qualifying after it was found his car had exceeded the maximum allowed fuel mass flow of 100 kg/h.

“The stewards reviewed the evidence from the Technical Delegate and heard from the team representatives”, read a report from the stewards in Baku. “The Stewards find that the fuel mass flow exceeded 100 kg/hr during the fastest lap set by car 10.”

While Gasly's infringement breached Article 5.1.4 of F1's technical regulations, the penalty – like the five-place grid drop he'd also received for changing his car's gearbox – won't, in reality, have any bearing on the Frenchman given his existing weighbridge penalty. He'll now hope for some strong race pace to help him secure his third consecutive points finish in four events for Red Bull.

Bottas on it so far.

Leclerc doing well up to 5th

No idea how people still watch F1. Its so predictable and boring. One sided Mercedes dominance each year.

How people fall for the Ferrari are challengers each year astounds me.

Mad Max vs LeClerc

Turned out not to be much of a contest:lol: Leclerc up to 4th

Wish he didn't feck up in qualifier. Would have embarrassed Vettel for sure.

I don't know why I watch it to be honest
The only thing that happens every race is a little bit of a midfield battle.
It's like watching the prem and only caring about 8-14th spots. No attention is even given to the front few because nothing happens

Ferrari were definitely challengers in 2017 and 2018. Especially last year, if there was someone like Alonso driving instead of Vettel, I'm sure he would have won it.

Only just tuned in and great to see Leclerc back at the pointy end already. Hopefully he can challenge the Mercedes now

Can anyone fill me in on why Riccardo has dropped all the way down to 16th?

Last 2 years for sure that Ferrari's up to challenge but not in driver and strategy front. I kind of disappointed in Vettel with how he always came short when in battle with Lewis.

Leclerc still to come in , he is forcing Bottas and Lewis to work their tyres harder than they would like.
He is in with a chance to winning.
Lewis Bottas and Seb will have to look after they tyres to finish on the set they have now.

Mercedes inability to favour one driver on strategy will cost them today.

They should be splitting it right now.

Mercedes telling Lewis and Bottas to slow down , hate this.
F1 should be about SPEED SPEED SPEED , not tyre management , not fuel management.
Lewis already saying his wont last till the end , he will not win this race.
Leclerc has to be favourite now

Maybe they should just do 2-stop? Or are they dont have a new fresh set of tyres anymore?
