F1 2016 Season with Fantasy League see Threadmark

Ah, shame.

I am guessing this was a dull race judging by the post count ? Glad if it was, coz I missed it.

And Poor Vettel though . No luck for him whatsoever. Brilliant from Lewis to get 2nd though.

Have people been making transfers or am I the top non-transfer maker?

Vestappens contract is up at the end of the year, it was only a matter of time before the big boys came calling. Harsh on Kyvat but Red Bull didn't want him to go elsewhere.

 Has this ever happened before? That's a bit harsh I think. How must Kvyat be thinking?

Pretty dickish move by Red Bull. I know it's as much wanting to keep Verstappen but they could easily promise him a drive for next season.

This, Horner & their childlike attitude with Renault over engines last year has to mark them as one of the most unlikeable teams in the sport.

Verstappen was on a three year deal, if there was no Red Bull deal then he could walk for free. I think the Chinese GP was the last piece of the puzzle for Red Bull in terms of a decision. Outside of the clumsy racing incident on Sunday, Kvyat was being outperformed by both Verstappen and Ricciardo (roughly 0.7 secs down in qualifying).

On the grand scheme of things, Kvyat was a knee jerk/stop gap move to Vettel's Ferrari contract - they didn't have anyone in place they felt they could push into that role quick enough.

The deal is more about locking Verstappen down than it is about Kvyat's performance.

It makes the Spanish GP more exciting the thought of Verstappen in a Red Bull. At least Kvyat has still got a seat in F1, many just get dumped.

London F1 Race ?

Bernie Ecclestone has told ITV News London a Formula 1 race could be held in central London as early as next year.

He said it would be "fantastic" to have a race in the middle of the capital, and believes it would be popular with viewers.

A proposed London Grand Prix, including sections past Hyde Park and Buckingham Palace, has previously been sketched out.

Races in the Formula E, which uses electric-powered cars travelling at up to 140mph were held in Battersea Park last year.

However, plans for a Formula 1 race in the capital have been held up as secondary legislation is required to allow councils to close roads for high-speed road races.

A spokesman for the Department for Transport said this would be addressed in "due course".

Sucks for Kvyat to be demoted, but I'm happy for Verstappen. I enjoy seeing him drive, and he obviously has great potential.

No way this is happening by next year. Honestly don't see it happening at all, but I like the street circuits, and one in London would probably have a great buzz around it. Wonder what the circuit would look like.

Massa :(

Think they mistimed it as I seen Hulkenberg pass him on is lap.

Thought we might see Ferrari up there in Q3 but that 22.1 from Hamilton's put an end to that hope.

Great stuff from Hamilton and Ricciardo as always. Wonder what happened to Ferrari.
