Everton players

Ross Barkley.

That is all. I would have faith that rather than buying Baines that Moyes would be able to shape either Fabio or Buttner into something equal to or better than him.

Baines is a good player but he's not someone we need at the moment, we have other more pressing areas which could do with strengthening first. Plus we have more than enough cover with Buttner and more so Fabio who if can stay injury free will surely shine like his brother.

I think Fellani is a good player, would improve our midfield but not sure if he's the type of player we should be looking at. Not to mention he's not played central midfield often for Everton.

I don't really want any. Baines is good but would be overpriced, he's 28 and isn't a top bracket defender. I wouldn't be against replacing Evra this summer, but I'd rather we look elsewhere.

Fellani again I rate, not to play as a #10 for us mind. He'd cost a bomb but he'd bring a lot of what we miss in the deeper midfield roles with his tenacity and physical presence. I'm hardly desperate to see him here though.

None of them, I rate Baines but he's not young enough to make it worth buying him as Evra's replacement. I've barely seen anything of Barkley but don't we have enough of our own prospects? In his last few interviews Fergie seemed to indicate quality over quantity, I took that to mean players ready to be in the starting 11, not prospects who'll be viable in 4 years time.

Evra is miles better at carrying the ball forward, playing quick 1-2's and keeping the ball under pressure, which is what we all fawn over on the continent isn't it? He's a huge part pf our attack. Baines has remarkably good delivery.

Agree.

Evra is a huge part of our attack, and sometimes we just take his contribution for granted IMO. Baines offers a different type of threat from LB, but I don't because of price, other pressing areas in the squad we need to invest in, his age etc. means the Baines transfer should be a quite low priority one for us.

I love the arrogance, as if Everton are obliged to sell their best players. There's no guarantee whatsoever that Moyes can get them or that Everton are willing to sell.

Fellaini is the best Everton player. Good player, and could add some steel in our midfield. But his reputation will bite him in his arse, at some point in the future. Just watched Everton-Liverpool, where he got away with about 3 bookable offense (elbowing). And he'd be managed by the same manager if he comes here, so we can't expect him to change either.

Fellaini is a great player and Baines is good too. I think Buttner will be a great replacement for Evra but I think he can also play left midfield so in that case I think Baines would be a good buy.

I think Mirallas is an interesting player, at times he's actually impressed me more than Hazard this season. Havn't seen enough to consider him the second coming, but he looks more dangerous than Young anyway.

Barkley is the other but that would be based on potential. Have an evertonian mate thinks he's rubbish but he's looked good couple times i've seen him. feck all need for Baines at the price he'd be going for and don't think Fellaini is the answer either.

Who said that?

Baines and Fellaini will probably want away anyway now Motes is gone. Both are too good for Everton and a few clubs will be interested. End of an era for Everton now and they'll need to rebuild.

Everton could do with the cash anyway. They might need money just to pay the compo for Gehrig next manager, let alone give him any transfer funds.

Fellaini and Barkley wouldn't be bad, any midfielders is better than none.

Baines would be a rotation with Evra but you don't need him.
Fellaini would get into the first team beside Carrick.
Barkley I feel is a future international. I also think if Moyes bought him he'd be kind enough to let him stay on loan for a season.

Interestingly people mention Mirallas and quite right to do so. The man is probably our best player when he is at his top level. If he can get past the injuries of this season and have a consistent one he will be a top player.

I don't think Moyes would go Barkley, purely for the fact of how Rooney left and the resentment shown to him from Everton fans, the same will be shown to Moyes if he were to take him here. Besides that Barkley, wont be ready for a few years anyway. We want a Midfielder that can walk straight into our Midfield.

Don't want Fellaini at all. He just wouldn't fit into our team anywhere. And he might be an excuse for us to not look for that better bracket of CM that we so clearly need.

Moyes signing Fellaini would be an indication that he wants to play the sort of football he did at Everton, and that he's happy to settle for players of his caliber, it would be a very disappointing start to his tenure here.

I would echo that sentiment.

Unless Fallaini is better than we think and would thrive around better footballers.

Barkley is the only one I could realistically see us going for, and even then I imagine it would be with a loan back to Everton for a season to soften the blow to them and show them some respect.

Consider who we would have had if SAF was carrying on.

Just 'cos Moyes is coming doesn't mean we have to put up with anything we wouldn't have wanted in the first place.

To blow a huge chunk of our transfer budget on the likes of Fellani/Baines etc would not be a particularly good idea.

I do see a bit of the young Rooney in Ross Barkley I must say.

Miralles would be the sensible one if we're to take an Everton player. Fits the right age bracket, quality and we wouldnt play him in a position where he's a third as good as his current position at Everton like Fellaini

We don't need any of them apart from perhaps Barkley who could develop into a fine midfielder. Fellaini, Mirallas and Baines are all good players but none of them would improve us currently.

We knew this was the plan, despite the stories we were spun. Fellaini/Baines 'because I have worked with them and know them'.

It's obvious though. A manager would first want to start with a player he has already worked with. Or a big name signing if it is available. He went in for Fellaini and Herrara. We got one of them.
