Everton deducted 10 points for PSR breach (reduced to 6) | Deducted further 2 points for second breach

Everton need to go the City route and drown the PL in paperwork and refuse to cooperate. They're taking the piss.

Meanwhile every journalist and media outlet in the country continue to wet themselves about City and De Bruyne. Its just utterly farcical that a team who is about to coast to a 4th title in a row has 115 charges hanging over them for this long, when the longer it goes on the less likely any punishment is.

Just look at newcastle this window. Or us. If we could cheat and manipulate our accounts to bring in a 50 or 60 million pound player then life would be much easier. Then do that over and over and over again. The more you see how co-operating affects teams, the more it seems they should be stripped of titles.

Stadium loans shouldn't be an issue though as Infrastructure spend doesn't count towards breaching the rules?

But both clubs have equipped themselves for the prospect, preparing mitigation that they believe should dismiss charges if they are referred to an independent commission later today.

Both clubs maintain they are within limits but, in Everton’s case, it would be stadium costs rather than player trading that would be the root cause of any potential overspend, as it had been the period in which the club has already been punished.

So says the telegraph...

The club statement is implying that it is 21-22 accounts again causing the problem and not 22-23, so not a NEW breach, merely the previous one still being in the same 3-year cycle. Being charged twice and potentially punished twice for the same offence, whilst having an appeal on the original charge.

How can that be correct?

It's all a mess that should really be sorted in house and not during a fecking season.

They charged Everton twice in months, yet they can't even charge City in years?

Anything to keep kicking the can down the road, procrastinate and allow City to win more silverware and avoid disturbing the oil barons. It’s pathetic.

Meanwhile, “smaller” clubs are charged and punished overnight.

 The feck are you talking about? How quick do you think it is to prove over 100 charges when a club refuse to accept them? A weekend? A bank holiday weekend maybe?

A 10 point deduction would relegate Forest which would be really unfair on Nuno Espirito Santo considering he has done nothing wrong.
I'm quite certain that he knew all about this when he signed up & probably had a pay out clause inserted.. He will do just fine. !!

I can only assume City haven’t broken any FFP in the last 3 seasons?

Also Chelsea have only gone loopy in the last 18 months so their comeuppance isn’t due yet?

You have to draw a line in the sand somewhere, if Everton are the guinea pigs then it’s bad luck.

But I hope the second round of charges is a fine or only a few points, and no one gets relegated for FFP reasons.

Interest payments on the loans is the issue and they can’t be capitalised so doubt they class as infrastructure

City may not have broken FFP in the last 3 seasons with their “official” accounts, but I no doubt expect they would have with their “real” unfluffed accounts.

Not sure where the victim complex is coming from, sounds like they were constantly at it. I hope relegated teams take action after this as well

So in order to comply with “Profit and Sustainability“ rules we should have accepted a £30M bid in June for Johnson and not the £47m we got in August!! Irony just doesn’t cover it.

Everytime he appears i turn off mate, i can`t deal
Wait a minute, are you trying to say Kaveh whathischops isn't the definitive voice on all happenings in the modern football landscape? That he might just be talking shite and making half of this stuff up?!

God forbid.

I did warn you about this.

The PL are after you and Everton.

How do you quickly deal with over 100 charges that the club deny, opposed to two which the club confirm and accept?
You make it sound that the investigation started when we read the news in the papers that they were charged.

So what's happens if after they rejected the 30m, no other bid was forthcoming? They'd be -30m? Took a gamble.

Not being a prick, actually curious.
