Evan Ferguson - Top Irish Prospect

have a feeling ferguson if he stays at brighton for one more season, might score 20 plus and be worth 150 mil......any club who takes a chance on him now ,could be getting a jackpot

What do people think is his current market value? i.e. the minimum amount Brighton would sell him for.

50m maybe?

Absolute machine.

Brilliant player.

think his technical side of the game is more impressive than Haaland's but that's just me

1.83m seems to be his height online but he always looks at least 1.88m on TV

The first goal is brilliant, and the 2nd is a good finish too.

I would be much more excited about him, as a fan, than spending a fortune on a “sure thing” and neglecting the rest of the team.

If a deal could be done, I think he could become a superstar. The historical United/Ireland links just makes it better.

Sir Alex would have already been in his family’s sitting room!

It would be funny if we didn't bother with Kane or Osimhen and just bought Ferguson to rotate with Martial and Rashford.

Maybe offer AWB, Maguire, Sancho in swap deal, although I know swap deals are extremely rare.

I haven't seen enough of him but he seems to have a bit of everything.

Does anyone know anything about his link up play? I think ETH values that

We haven't had an Irish player in over a decade maybe. The longest gap in probably a long line of Irish players I'm guessing

The thing is even if just a talented unproven player like him would cost 60-70m.

I think 70-80 should get him.......would be clever from us but also slightly risky..........i reckon chelsea might move for him considering they r targeting younger players......wont be surprised if united do bid

Going to cost an absolute bomb this lad. It annoys me that our scouts aren't capable of finding gems like this lad from clubs like Bohemians.

Fair play to Brighton for picking him up from Bohemians in 2021. He only played 3 times for Bohemians so that’s great scouting.

If you could get 50 + performance based add-ons, it could be an absolutely bargain, and as much as I love him, a better investment than paying double that up front for a 30 year old Kane.

Replaces WW when he leaves? Like for like?
He looks the real deal. He has pace, physicality & an eye for goal. 7 goals in 16 games in the premier league for a 18 year old is excellent. Being Irish I would hate to see him go to a "Bigger" club & get stuck in the reserves. He is better staying at Brighton & playing. As a United fan I would love to see him playing for us. He could be a starter for the next 10 years & more :)

United are severely lacking Irish players. Hasn't helped that our lads have been nowhere near top PL quality but this guy could be something special.

Played for Bohs in a friendly against Chelsea two years ago. Always been destined for greatness. Been a sure thing to make it for years but was always going to Brighton.

Very exciting player for ROI, exactly the type of CF they've missed in last decade.

I don’t think scouting came into it. His dad has personal connections with Brighton staff. Which must have been a big factor.
He also made his pro debut at 14 years of age. That alone should have been a red flag to any scouting network that he had something special about him. But as you say, Brighton always seemed like the perfect fit given the familial connections.

You've got to imagine that if we are being linked with someone like Goncalo Ramos (who still has it all to prove) then we'd also be very interested in Ferguson.
