I appreciate the fact that he genuinely seems like the type of guy that could have fun with something like this.

For all the youngsters out there, there was a magical time when Brazilians didn’t look like angry, overly-serious, and technically bland footballers (I’m looking at you Richarlison, Raphinha, et al). Brazil seemed to be everyone’s second favorite team because they were a joy to watch.

Vini seems to be bringing a little of that back, but as a Chelsea fan, watching Esteveo playing and ALWAYS seeming to be smiling as he does what he does is just … very cool.

I hope he keeps that no matter what happens.
 
Another assist and an OG that should have counted for him because it was on target before it deflected off the bottom of the guys leg before it went in. Heavily marked all game… didn’t help the opposition. Should have had two more assists.

I did not know this, but Chelsea made a lot of the add ons for his final price related to goals he could reach at Palmeiras …. SUPER smart decision by the Chelsea owners.
 
They’re saying it’s an ankle sprain, potentially also a knee sprain (which is the injury that kept Nkunku out for 4 months). Hopefully nothing too serious.

 
Can he play left back, or at least does he remember to pick people up at far post during corners? Not critical otherwise :)

He’s sacrifice sleep, stay up till 3am to watch a Palmeiras game level of exciting, personally speaking.
 
This kid either scores or assists damn near every game. He’s no fan of regular goals either.

Averaging a goal or an assist per every 88 minutes played in the Brazilian Serie A this season. Crazy to think he only just turned 17 a few months ago.
