Red Hand Devil
Plan M ish
PSG are 2legit to quit aren't they.
There's no chance they'll be able to hammer out a deal..

In the position we are in right now with Morgan Schniederlin and Bastian Schweinsteiger I honestly wouldn't mind him leaving to PSG for a payday. We've got adequate cover and at 34, if we were to receive an outrageous sum that would be exceptional business. It does seem highly unlikely though in any case.
50 million.
I want him to stay but at the same I'd like to see him in a PSG shirt.

Short memory some folk have on here. Carrick was our most influential player last season & when he was out injured - we were guff most of the time.
Absolute class player is Carrick. You cant judge him on his pre-season either, as he's always been a bittuva slow-starter for us, but ends up running the show & making us tick for most seasons.
Regardless of all the above - we have a crackin CM squad now - one we all dreamed of, but never thought would happen & now folk want to f*ck that all up by gettin rid of Carrick?
Plus Schweinsteiger isnt exactly gonna stay injury-free all season - sure he only played one game for us & then he was out injured the game after.
Carrick will get plenty of games this season - he's far too important & top-quality, to be sitting on the bench all the time. There's so many games to be played also.
He can play CB also & very well too - which is a position i've always said he'll end up in with us..
How was he able to influence from the treatment room? That is a bizarre claim. A class player on his day no doubt about that. We've just gone out and bought a defensive 6 and a creative 6 however. Looking at hit from a squad perspective you can't squeeze all those players onto the park and have room for all of our other players that need game time.Short memory some folk have on here. The squad, as you say is filled with midfield talent both in attack and defence. But there is probably one player to many, purely from a business point of view, to get a large fee for Carrick would be considered exceptional business. (Honestly no idea what the fee would be, but that is a large portion of the reason to sell, apart from that there is very little reason).
Factoring into the equation that he is a settled, domestic player with little desire to leave for money that is also a reason why we can make comments like this. I doubt he would leave but it would still be good business if he left under the circumstances of a financial windfall for the club, at 34.
None of this is directed at your personal love affair with Michael Carrick, the players ability or his will to stay and fight for the club. So it is okay, there is no need to get upset. I think he's going to have a great season again with the extra legs we've brought in and I would be surprised if we aren't seeing a Schniederlin and Carrick partnership really blossoming toward the end of the season.
If he would be left footed, he would play as a CB for us instead of Blind right now.
Agreed. This whole left-footed CB thing, is some of the biggest load of bollox i've ever heard from a manager - it's so f*ckin bizarre, ridiculous & insane, that i dont even want to talk about it anymore..

Michael Carrick leaving Old Trafford this season would be a crime.
Would be an absolute disgrace if the club encouraged him to move on, but even they cant be that stupid or disrespectful..
LvG on the other hand - who knows what goes through his head tbh..

This really didn't need a gigantic tirade, especially after you have not even comprehended what I was trying to explain. There has been no childish jibes, you've taken this all a bit too personally. Nobody needs a re-explanation about Carrick's involvement in the team. We all know what kind of player he is and his ability.Gonna try be brief as i can here, because i cant be arsed with ya & your childish jibes.
Every United fan should have a love-in with Carrick - he's been a key player in our success since he joined us. 3 Champions League finals in 4 years, numerous titles & cups - with him & Scholesy being one of the best CM pairings in Europe during this period & one of the best in United's history more importantly.
Carrick's presence in the team last season, was by far the most influential of all the players. You need to buy the season review & recap how much better a team we were with Carrick pulling the strings.
We struggled or played shite when he was out injured (he had a serious operation on his ankle last summer & of course he's gonna have niggles coming back from that - all players do for Christ sake) & i guarantee you that we would have given Chelsea fight to the death for the title if Carrick didnt suffer an injury & was out for the season.
We were on a fantastic roll after convincingly beating Spurs, Pool away & City & then he got injured before Chelsea away - which had Rooney playin in CM for most of the remaining games of the season.
You've contradicted yourself too. 1st you want him sold to a major European rival - a club that most of us hate & then you say: "I think he's going to have a great season again with the extra legs we've brought in and I would be surprised if we aren't seeing a Schniederlin and Carrick partnership really blossoming toward the end of the season.."
well I have to say that post 09 where Giggs and Scholes became too old, Rio and Vidic alternated in the treatment room, Fletcher's later years were badly shortened, among the outfield players, Rooney, Evra and Carrick were the three main pillars upon which SAF built the team. It's in these tough times but still able to have quite an amount of success that we need to think and appreciate those subdued contributionsa key player in our success since he joined us is massively overreaching.
I think that is a very good way of putting it. Michael Carrick wasn't the wheels that got us there but he was definitely part of the engine.well I have to say that post 09 where Giggs and Scholes became too old, Rio and Vidic alternated in the treatment room, Fletcher's later years were badly shortened, among the outfield players, Rooney, Evra and Carrick were the three main pillars upon which SAF built the team. Januzaj too I thinkfecking PSG, they were sniffing around Pereira, were close to Depay, bought Di Maria and now wanted Carrick. They are starting to annoy me the last few years.
He'd replace Motta, who's likely going to Atletico. What's would be the point in him going to Psg and being backup to Veratti?
Ah they play with two holding midfielders. He'd replace Motta, who's likely going to Atletico.
This...except for the center half bit. Not convinced yet.Short memory some folk have on here. Carrick was our most influential player last season & when he was out injured - we were guff most of the time.

Also, as a long term United fan I know that Carrick has been an unsung hero for us but a key player in our success since he joined us is massively overreaching.
My original point was that as a business decisions after bringing in two different 6's with more shelf life then one of the 6's are expendable for a large fee. That is Carrick, considering his short shelf life. Being that he's a domestic asset and not chasing money there is no point in selling him. Nowhere did I say I want him to leave and I don't think he's a good footballer, you've invented this argument just so you can give us all a history lesson on Michael Carrick.
