Reliable source confirmed today, Haaland was meant to sign for Chelsea this summer but it was too expensive for Chelsea so fell through.

Next season Haaland is going to be the most sought after player by a Mile.

I guess it depends if Mbappe’s contract runs out as well.
Mbappe and Haaland on the market next summer is going to be intresting. especially if we get a year with fans back in the stadiums so clubs are quite so broke.

So they go out and buy Lukaku for just a little less?
The reason is that all clubs wait for next season and he probably thinks another year at Dortmund will benefit him too
 
Juve will be United's biggest competition next year after getting rid of Ronaldo's wages.
 
Why not buy him this year but keep at Dortmund this year…. We pay Dortmund higher vs the exit clause so take risk away from them and they can count on him for this year and on other side we can wait but gurantee to have him playing for us…

next year, Dortmund will get the exit clause fees based on whosoever Hallam choose, the extra money will go to fat riola and salaries to Halland…..

The only way BVB would have sold him this year is for £150m and there's no chance in well we offer that after Varane and Sancho. Chelsea tried to offer "higher than the clause" but lower than their demand and BVB still said feck off
After our experience with Sancho last year you should know that when they say something they mean it and they've been adamant Haaland wasn't leaving this year

I know, but perhaps keeping him there for another year while they still get more money than the exit clause would have changed their minds….. but who knows…in my view … worth a try
 
I can see us making a late attempt to bring in either Haaland or Kane this summer

I did actually suggest this earlier on in this thread. This is a good idea due to the huge competition for his signature next summer.

Get it done now but let Dortmund have him for one more season which is what Dortmund want & UTD can have him for the start of 22/23 season & he'll still only be 22 (I think).

It works for Dortmund and perhaps Utd, but why would Haaland accept it? It makes absolutely no sense from his point of view, as he'd literally be throwing away millions (probably 10's of millions) of pounds away and giving himself less choice about where he moves to.

He will stay at Dortmund, then go for relatively cheap next season to the club of his choosing and with a huge signing on bonus. The only way he might have left now is if Dortmund hadn't qualified for CL.
 
We should offer Dortmund 100m for him now plus loan back for a season.
Dortmund get to keep him 1 more year as planned and get 25m above next years release clause also.
We get the signing before other clubs are in a better situation next year.

Agreed with this. It would make no sense whatsoever for him to move this summer. He's also claimed to be happy in Dortmund and proud to be there, seems like standard talk for him staying there an extra year and leaving for his release clause next summer.
 
So Bayern Munich announce publicly they are hoping to sign him next season and yet some people on here are in denial there won't be loads of clubs after him.

Every major team will be trying to buy him with that release clause fee.

United imo should still try now to sign him & offload Martial.

Course every team will be after him, don’t see him going Bayern mind, can’t see them paying for him and he’s done Germany now, can see him wanting the prem.

Mendes has asked juve to extend the contract but it's not juve pushing for it. They can't afford another contract for Ronaldo especially at the age he is now and wanting a 2 year deal.

Money, agent, opportunity to play with Sancho or play for someone willing and who wants him now more than maybe other clubs?

Just saying that Right now no one is going for him solely based on Price.

If United could make it work now rather than gamble next season, its worth trying at least.

It's not gonna happen. That's why Chelsea are signing Lukaku. Haaland would never agree to it. No matter what his relationship with Sancho and Ole.
