I get the move and don't blame him, its a smart one, that'll be curtains of us getting anywhere near him maybe ever I'd expect. If he's a success, Real, City and Barca will be all over him.

This thread has taken a very sad turn, as many others on this site. Finally some of the football experts have watched him playing ONE game, and they know it all. Honestly, its just sad.

By accident i watched one of his first senior games. Never heard of the kid before, but he blew my mind scoring four goals! Since then i have followed his development, just like i have Tonali, which i also love.

This kid is nothing like Lukaku! He has the same presence and being able to play a strong game with his back to the goal, but that is not what he is about. It is just a part of his repertoir.. His strength is movement and reading the game. He is fantastic getting into the right position at the right time. He is at his best, just like Rashford when he can run at defence. And he is super fast! HIs football intelligence is far superior for his age, which is why the hype. He is 19! Got a lot to learn still..

Also, he is known to be model professional and very methodic in his training, development and even his diet. He is all positive energy and has a lot of it! Perfect for good vibes and creating a competitive and positive culture.

If i could pick three players to sign in January, it would be Haaland, Tonali and Savic. But serious guys! Dont pretend to know of him when comparing him to Lukaku! They are nothing alike. Just read what Klopp have said about him. And every top team in Europe is trying to sign him. But you know better, ehh? :annoyed:

Seems a bit media driven to happen the day after he gets knocked out of the CL doesn't it?

There are few thing that piss me off more than Mino Raiola. The guy is a complete vulture. The only reason he is pushing a move to Dortmund now is so that the re-sale value to Manchester United in "a couple years" will be £100 million, and Raiola will pocket a hefty fee for himself.

I so sincerely wish that footballing agents had their fees capped to avoid this type of predatory shifting players around to enrich themselves. He's trying to do the same with Paul Pogba.

It's quite possible we are letting Dortmund have him in exchange for them selling Sancho to us.

Yes I'm a desperate muppet.

Some of you guys have an obsession with taking eye watering amounts of money and spending it on young kids that haven't done much to justify such fees. Im pretty sure that's not the best way to go about the business of getting back to the top.

Just this summer some were willing to give up a couple of limbs to get Felix here, Atl Madrid did so and look what's happening there. Barca did so too with Dembele. The only youngster worth these sorts of fees is Mbappe cause he's already one of the best players in the world. Everyone else would pretty much be a huge gamble.

As generally the majority of fans support their club not the player, i can only agree with you on that Players agents are scum.
BUT i guess the other side of the coin is a player agent wants max value, to get that he wants the player to become HUGE. Going to a club like Dortmund is a much safer bet then us. So you can't argue he is probably on the money with a players best interests here.

Local (reliable) paper RN and local radio station claim Haaland took a chartered plane to Dortmund and got picked up by a BVB employee.

Wouldn't be a suprise. They're great at developing young players. And my guess it that he needs a lot more improvement than this thread would suggest

He's a Raiola boy. Got to make that turd more money.

Overall Timo Werner looks like a better option than Halaand. No Riola tricks and he is a proven player in a better league.

Halaand is an option only if he is genuinely likes to pick UTD over other clubs and his agent suggestions.

Last time I read he took over the La Liga by storm...or is the storm has faded?

What happened?

Maybe Raiola is taking Haaland to BVB to get a baseline for what Haaland's wages and his fee will be to start the bidding. Representing himself and his client for their mutual benefit.

Thats what I was thinking. Isn’t Felix having a quality season. His dribbles have been insane at times. Plus he’s 18 so nothing expected properly for 2 years, the fee was an investment.

Haaland would do well to play every game at Dortmund since Martial is ahead of him as a player atm. We have a number 9. Martial’s style is easier on the eye too. Haaland will never possess close control like that and will be a plan B at first. His potential is insane though looking at his record.

In reality we probably need more guile in the form of Sancho / Hevertz to turn us into a truly top side.

We have a boy called Mason Greenwood coming through. Big things are expected of him. I think we'll sign Moussa Dembele in the summer to give us more options up front, with the hope that Greenwood will eventually be a nailed on starter.

Haaland has a 20m euro release clause. For a guy who scored 8 in the CL at the age of 19, that is a fair dinkum reasonable price.

Some of you is weird whenever there is a set back in your dreams.

First some of you (not directed to you Cato) praise Haaland (and his team) to be levelheaded and doing the right thing choosing RBS to increase his chances to develop properly.

Then he chose Mino Raiola as his agent, probably a wise move from his perspective, then suddenly his agent is the bad guy. His clients probably thinks otherwise. Ask Zlatan. Tons of money at the same time exploring the world getting paid like a Saudi Arabian king. Doesn’t sounds bad to me.

Finally, regarding doing the right thing, Haaland is interested in what Dortmund has to offer him, another sensible decision. Great club btw.

All of us with some sense saw this coming moths ago. Smart young man listen to his advisors and doing smart things. Shocking!!

Rashford is genuinely very good. Look at what he’s doing and who knows how he will develop...
I agree. Rashford has been one of the top players this season. Looked like a PlayStation player for that 30 mins against City.

Apart from Mane it’s hard to think of too many left wingers who have had a better season so far? He’s actually one of the very very best in his position now. Looks a leader on the pitch for us.

Seriously? A lot of people on here (probably the majority) hate the way Raiola operates and have done so for years. There's nothing sudden about it.

Dembele is as mediocre as Martial, if we're going to sign a striker he should be better than what we've got or at least have the potential to be better. Greenwood can play across a front 3 so I don't think it's a big problem.

The Football Agents Forum (FAF), an organisation led by Paul Pogba's agent Raiola, invoked the courts after world football's governing body agreed in principle to limit commissions on player sales to 10 percent and salary commissions to three percent for both player and club agents.Nov 15, 2019

You are absolutely out of your mind if you somehow believe that Raiola is not out after the best financial deal for both himself and his client first and foremost. It's not the clients financial deal I'm concerned about, it's Raiolas financial interest. You're assuming that he's being completely favorable towards his client over his own personal gain in big money football transfers, which is quite the leap of faith.

The real gripe I have with this whole situation is that the reported rumors state that Raiola prefers Haaland joins Man United in "2 years". For what could possibly be Jadon Sancho money. Raiola is the one that has the most to gain from such a move. Yes Dortmund has a good track record of developing talent, but quite frankly so does Manchester United.

I have no idea where he ends up.. but this media hype is typical Raiola..

Was the same with De Ligt.

What an idiot! Taking care of his clients and making sure they get paid as good as possible.

Probably one of the best agents around. Earning a fortune and enjoying his life. Smart guy you ask me.

Someone tracked his charter plane and found out that he spent 2h15m in Dortmund yesterday and right before that 2h45m in Leipzig. That's hardly enough time to do anything and since they visited two locations it doesn't sound like anything that's final.

Was just going to post the same (re De Ligt). Though probably in this case, you may think Ole should have some pull. Whether or not we should pursue him at all is another thing.

So all the ITK redcafers were wrong? You know the ones that get overly emotional when you question why a great talent would want to play for our club currently.
