Well no one is. All of them started off small and got bigger. Look at City. Where were they before Sheik? They started competing and won the title three or four years after proper rebuilding. Whats to say Spurs cant do the same? Their midfield and GK is excellent. Their striker is also good and Defoe is an alright back up. Defense is one area where they need to improve. They took care of the GK situation last summer. This time around they fixed their striker and midfield. Next summer they will work on improving their defense.

Spurs haven't got a sugar daddy who can pay whatever it takes to buy and pay players.

But thats why they have good young players already in their squad. They are capable of spending £20-30m in a window. They only need to spend a little more on defense. They dont need to spend anywhere else on the pitch for the next couple of years at least.

Unless 1) the players they have and have bought are not a bit shite and 2) do not sell their best players.

Wouldn't common sense be waiting to how they do as they are? They've bought 2 new defensive minded players and have 2 back from long term injury. I don't get the assumption they'd need to invest more on the defense until the defense has been shown to be substandard. I predict they will have a defensive record in the top 3 of the league this season.
 
Looking forward to seeing him play in the Prem, I was actually hoping we might go for him to add some flair to our attack.
 
AVB has handled him stupidly so far, plays him one match and the other on the bench ... How can a player who is new to a league and a team improve ?

That was what confused me the most. Why hasn't AVB played Lamela at all?

Pocco must've been watching a different game. The 6th started from him doing what he'd been doing the whole game. He's an utter ponce. A very good player, but he needs to grow a set if he's going to make it in England.
 
Dont bump threads in the transfer forum about players who have already been transferred. Start a new one in the footy.
 
I thought he looked very good. Far better than Townsend has in most games anyway.
