Really, you mean the 13 games he played in where we had the best clean sheet ratio all season? Our most complete defender. He's a beast physically, cool as a cucumber, can pass the ball. Only issue is sometimes he's too aggressive in the wrong situations, but that wouldn't be an issue if we had midfielders who can actually provide cover & defend spaces... Doubt the best defenders in the world would survive with the giant dinosaurs Matic/Fellaini in front of them.
Bailly > Smalling > Jones (if healthy) > Rojo > Lindelof
Bailly only played 4 out of our 10 matches against the other top sides in the league. Smalling played all 10.
Bailly also played 2 of those matches in a back 3 and 2 in a back 2, which is exactly the same amount as Jones.
However Smalling played 3 of those games in a back 3 and 7 in a back 2. So far more often he had more individual responsibility defensively. It wasnt half and half like Jones and Bailly.
In Lindelof's 3 matches we got all 9 points, although 2 of the 3 were Arsenal which is the weakest team on the list.
Liverpool 0 - United 0 ( Smalling & Jones )
