A very good player at an absolutely premium. Can't imagine we sign him in January when we're scrapping for a goal scorer and still have AWB as the backup right back. I suspect this is our name being used to ramp up the crazy price for a relatively unproven player (still). Also, if we're addressing midfield, we need a ball carrier.

De Jong. Someone who can take the ball from deep and progress our play, not least when we're up against high pressing sides. We don't have one player capable of doing so. Maybe Mejbri will eventually be utilised in that role, but at the moment there is none.

Even if we lowballed this massively, you could generate 50-75% of the fee from those players. £25-30m for Maguire, £20m for AWB, £20m for Donny etc. I'd personally keep Fred, rather sell Scott.

Enzo le Fée is an example of a youngster who is proving to be very press resistant and has good progressive carrying ability. Jude, Kovacevic, Moussa Dembele (spurs), rodrigo de paul, Bernardo Silva woods all be examples of good carriers.

people have been talking about a Mount -Bellingham - Rice midfield for months. We played Mount - Jorgihno - Zakaria midfield yesterday and the setup at least was great.
Enzo in that spot that rotates into a. 8 instead of Bellingham makes great sense, really.

That is a £50 million loss on MaGuire, £30 Million loss on AWB and another £20 million on VdB. On top of the £89 million spunked on Pogba is it surprising that there is very little money in the Utd coffers.
