England vs Iceland

Drinkwater led his team against all odds to win the most difficult championship in world football.

People defending quality of Iceland ha ha, seriously just look at the "value" of the players on the pitch. This should be the equivalent of playing a pub team.

Scrappy win against Wales aside, this tournament has been a complete disappointment from England. Just like WC2014.

Hodgson has to go now, surely?

What amazes me is that most of these players from Iceland play for shit teams in Norway and Sweden, the guys in the England team play for the top sides in the PL.

Reflects badly upon the Owl.

Lars Lagerbäck is pretty decent - especially against England (as I have pointed out in this thread days ago).

Allegedly Rashford was ready to come in, then Hodgson pulled him back again. Great management.

Oh, the PL will suffer if Brexit = only 2 non English players on each team. Even the Iceland league will have higher quality..

The thing is Englands qualifying group was just as difficult as facing Iceland. Its not as if England doesn't beat the minnows.

When's Rashford coming on? Is he really going to put off making changes until the 85th minute? fecking owl.

Plenty of options for worst player in an England shirt here.

His contract expires after the tournament, and I can't see the FA extending it.
