England | right wing knuckle draggers on the streets

Yep. We are so quick to overlook how backward the world still is whilst thinking we are so forward. Even if it's not about politics (most of these cretins don't even know what that is), we really are no more advanced than when kings ruled over peasants and had instigators to do their bidding and making sure the anger lashes out at each.

And the peasants are still revolting. I mean, look at some of these "people". Talk about a tough wank video.
one of my favourite drunken conversations is how it’s all just the same, they’ve just got better at propaganda and keeping us all calmer. there’s always eventually been an uprising. current climate makes me feel like another one will come in my lifetime.

Worst part is it’s mostly kids from the look of it.
no prospects, no chance of the same standard of life as their parents and grandparents. nothing to lose and don’t know any better.

Literally just said this to the missus. Whilst drinking some cheap bourbon.

The problem with using Twitter/YouTube comments as a barometer for public opinion is that it's a very small amount of users creating as big a noise volume as possible. Albeit a US statistic, 10% of users are responsible for 92% of the tweets. Compare this with a population of the UK, and the amount actually out on the streets; a very vocal minority.

Let's also not forget that the platform, including YouTube, is full of bots from places like Russia designed to create political destabilisation. Combine that with people with very low IQ or critical thinking skills and you have the perfect storm. In short, take it all with a pinch of salt.

I get your point, but I can't help but think that you're underestimating the power and reach of social media. It's how a growing number of people consume news these days, and the number is only going up. On top of that you have shows like TalkTV (I think thats whats it called) and GB News, which are on regular tv or radio as well as having a large social media presence, and have social media figures as regular contributors. So the lines between social media and regular media are becoming blurred. There are multiple shows/podcasts with big budgets that produce content that is television standard production, and with huge advertising budgets. The viewing figures and eyeballs that they get online is significant and growing, whilst the viewing figures for regular news is dwindling.

I agree that the vast majority of people are the silent majority who don't consume this stuff to exhaustion, aren't commenting, and do condemn the riots. However, I think even a large % of the silent majority consume some of it.

There was also 4 million people who voted for Reform, plus a couple more million Tory voters who probably have sympathy if not out right support for this stuff. Plus the type of chav who is rioting currently, I suspect half of them didn't even bother to vote, so you could probably add another million or more from that demographic. It's not a small number of people. Tommy Robinson was essentially deplatformed by the mainstream media, and his recent documentary has I think 30m in a couple weeks or so (I read the figure somewhere, might not have been 30m but it sounds about right).

I think the worst thing to do would be to underestimate the scale of the problem, and to underestimate the power of social media anymore. IMO that's a large part of the reason why the far right and populists are thriving at the moment.

None of this goes away until the likes of Musk, Frottage, Tice, Murdoch and the Daily Mail are pummelled into obscurity. Think Trump described it best when he proudly said "I love uneducated people".

If that was supposed to be Farage that’s both a wonderful and nauseating autocorrect

Wait, there's someone with the actual last name of 'Frottage?'

Love her. It’s been so heartwarming to see so many among the white population, and various other races who aren’t Muslim, stand up to this shit. Those people who formed a ring of protection around the mosque in Liverpool. The locals who came out to rebuild to broken wall of the mosque in Southport. The counter protests etc. I’m usually not a soppy twat but videos like that always get me. That’s the British spirit. That’s what we should be highlighting more of. Those are the people I’m so proud to stand shoulder to shoulder with.

I’m not defending Just Stop Oil, or XR for that matter

But the irony kills me

Those 2 outfits stated above, disrupt and miff off the population too an extent and are constantly told too bugger off and too aim their issues at Downing Street

Those people telling the above outfits too bugger off too Downing Street are now causing pandemonium on British streets trashing the place scaring local British folk and causing absolute carnage making it very unsafe for out kids

Interesting

And what’s Mr Tommy Robinson doing about it? Mr “guys let’s not be violent”????

Hardly lambasting the outcome of his following

Sick of seeing these racists saying we don’t excuse violence bla bla bla and then do nothing too stand up against it when it happens

They bloody well want this too happen and don’t be fooled

Not to mention JSO are brave enough to not run away when the cops get involved. They stand up for their beliefs and accept the penalty.

On the contrary, I think they are peas in many ways.

Primarily, whos really behind it and why they don't bother the people who actually can change something...
