England | right wing knuckle draggers on the streets

they have legitimate reasons to be angry. it’s just not funnelled at the right cause or people.
If they directed their anger at the right people that would mean admitting they’ve been taken for fools for years.

Same here.

I feel sorry for the Police. I know some of them are cnuts, but most of them are trying to do their job and protect the public.

Just watching on Sky and a female officer that can’t be more than about 5’5” got her shield kicked by a guy and fell over. Imagine spending your Sunday afternoon doing that.
Ah it's shocking. 100%. An essential job meant to be about keeping society safe, and they're catching bricks from chav cnuts for shite pay.

We need our best people working as police, as well as Doctors, Nurses, Paramedics etc, yet we as a society seem to treat all of these professions like shite?

I hope that since so many of these brightsparks have livestreamed this nonsense that they can at least lock a good chunk of them up.

Maddening scenes. What do they hope to achieve? What do they even want?
they want their pay packets to cover their bills and weekly shop. they want to be able to go on holiday once a year with their kids. they want to be able to afford a house. they want to get a doctor’s appointment, and a hospital bed when they need one. they want to drive on roads that don’t resemble a minefield. they’ve been constantly lied to, constantly told who is to blame, and they’re lashing out.

pretending this is all just the work of a few narrow minded racists is only going to make the problem worse. they deserve to be angry. they should just be burning down the offices of the daily mail instead.

Wouldn’t know, I was doing a triathlon in the depths of Norway. Think there were some down the road, but I have zero interest in “causes” that have been hijacked by idiots.
Oof a fellow Whitby-oik. Was born there myself!

It’s actually encouraging how many people are disavowing this. I think in the long term, this might do some good?
I’m sadly not that optimistic. However, it does seem as though a lot of the thugs are stupid enough to make themselves easily identified.

The brazenness is astonishing, but should mean a good number of them will be facing serious charges. That’s about the only positive I can see.

If they directed their anger at the right people that would mean admitting they’ve been taken for fools for years.
true. though who likes to admit they’re wrong or have been conned? unfortunately with the media, x, the likes of russia and the greed of the rich, there’s never going to be a light bulb moment for the majority of them.

If there was no danger of individuals getting hurt I’d let them carry on until the majority of them have managed to incriminate themselves one way or another. Would be a nice purging of society.

Yup. Many of those rioting are youths who won't have a clue about politics or who they should really blame for the state of the country. Many will be ruining their own lives this week with their actions.

It's hard to feel sympathy for them when you see the scenes on the streets, but there's good reasons for having anti incitement laws. The likes of Farage and Robinson should be doing more time behind bars than the JSO people, that's for sure.

He’s in Cyprus according to the Mail (not linking obviously as that rag has helped stoke this atmosphere).
The leading cause, I would say. Every little helps and I can see why people also point to figures like Robinson and Farage, as well as the senior figures of both main parties who whipped things up during the election, but the Mail remains the leading promoter of fascism in this country.

I really hope so. The vile truth of this cause is now evident,
I think you're right, the numbers on the streets haven't been nearly as many as feared and though they have done some atrocious stuff, counter protests have generally been bigger.

This is nothing like 2011 when it really felt like the country had lost its head for a week or so. I think this has shown, that while there will always be racist twats and thugs in our society, the vast majority want nothing to do with them and the looting and violence have only shown them up for what they are rather than helping them in anyway.

All this.

So many people banging on about "don't call me right wing!" all over twitter about this.

How can they not realise whos bidding they are really doing?

The grifting nasty twats should all be dragged in for this. Of course they won't, many would likely argue can't. Neat little protection bow they have tied round them there.

Absolutely.

But, they've just given Farage and Tice a nice big ticket to continue treading on us all instead.

100%

But we still get to hammer the racists ?

I admire your optimism, but I don't share it.

I've had a peak at some of the right wing social media outlets/talking heads on twitter/youtube, and the comments are all supportive, claiming victimhood, denying accountability etc. It's worrying. Examples include:

- Consistently referencing 'peaceful protests' and 'unity demonstrations'
- Showing clips of a white person being arrested out of context of what they were arrested for, with headings like 'arrested for peacefully protesting'
- Showing clips out of context of a fight involving some white people and non-white people, with headings like 'muslims attack random civilian' - in one case, the individual in question has been shown in images and videos posted here to have been making a nazi salute, and evidently dressed like a fecking nazi. Hardly a random civilian.
- Indirectly praising/defending the rioters for 'having had enough' 'taking back our streets', 'showing the government they business' or suchlike.
- They will be one post in which they make a plea for non-violence, but this is seemingly as some kind of attempt at mitigating any liability for incitement - because they soon follow it up with multiple posts directly praising the rioters.
- Criticising the police and the government for daring to say rioting is bad, and for daring to even attempt to police the riots.
- Insinuating that people opposing the riots (or "peaceful protests") are communists, support rape and the murder of children.
- Zero mention, images or videos of the random violence, criminal damage, assaults etc committed by the rioters.
- A swath of middle class looking people saying "well if these peaceful protestors are far right, then I'm far right too because I also don't like the killing of children!"

Long term, for the situation to be improved there needs to be several things IMO. Firstly, the left, centre, and even soft right wing, need to win the social media battle. Currently, the populists/far-right/provocateurs are winning that battle. They are growing in numbers and belief, not dwindling. The other points I was going to make I can't find the right words to explain what I mean, so I'll leave it at that.

Only partly, Musk didn't turn Twitter in it to what it's become, he just let it grow worse

Nah. He unbanned almost exclusively right-wing banned accounts, his new paid bluecheck policy means any rubbish gets promoted in the replies (and, because of the partisan nature of "X", that usually means right-wingers on top of all popular posts), and he has ended all moderation for everything including outright Nazism. It's made it far more right-wing generally. I've mostly avoided that by not following many big accounts of any kind, and my blocking/muting very liberally when the algorithm gives me stuff I don't like.

Musk has made Twitter a breeding ground for the right wing facists. Nothing is off limits now, there is no moderation, just out and out racism.

Not true. He actively made it worse by severely cutting existing moderation, following, engaging with and often spreading the misinformation himself.

He also posts racist and right-wing adjacent talking points stuff all the time:

and I'm not even mentioning his systemic targeting of accounts that reported on the neo-nazi accounts that are allowed to run riot on twitter, nor the API leaks that suggest some really nefarious stuff.

I'm perplexed as to what would have motivated you to run, erroneous, interference for Musk?!

Im baffled when people highlight these problems but stay on the site. It's a cesspit and not going to change while he owns it, so leave.

I'm starting to see videos of migrants retaliating and beating up white people. Don't think this is ending any time soon especially if establishment media only demonises 1 group.

Pretty much. There’s around 66 million people in Britain and these riots are a few hundred coke heads, divorced dads, football hooligans, retirees, petty criminals/ex convicts, some unemployed, racist young people and vape addicts.

This type of “politics” has no mass appeal in the UK.

The problem with using Twitter/YouTube comments as a barometer for public opinion is that it's a very small amount of users creating as big a noise volume as possible. Albeit a US statistic, 10% of users are responsible for 92% of the tweets. Compare this with a population of the UK, and the amount actually out on the streets; a very vocal minority.

Let's also not forget that the platform, including YouTube, is full of bots from places like Russia designed to create political destabilisation. Combine that with people with very low IQ or critical thinking skills and you have the perfect storm. In short, take it all with a pinch of salt.

i think you’ll be surprised how many will be watching this on their tvs, thinking “good, about time.”

look how many voted reform.

The people in a lot of these chavvy northern towns seem to do their clothes shopping exclusively at JD Sports, so no surprise it's their top looting target.

I mean…..vaping and violent rampages are really not that synonymous. Probably not worthy of being lumped in with ex convicts

new trainers and a cheese and bean bake is fair recompense for taking the country back.

Yep. We are so quick to overlook how backward the world still is whilst thinking we are so forward. Even if it's not about politics (most of these cretins don't even know what that is), we really are no more advanced than when kings ruled over peasants and had instigators to do their bidding and making sure the anger lashes out at each.

And the peasants are still revolting. I mean, look at some of these "people". Talk about a tough wank video.

Yep and the wanker has pissed off to Spain after skipping court. Find him and drag the Cnut back and lock away the key.
Absolutely this. I advocate for an anarchist society but honestly people like Steven Yaxley-Lennon should be given whole life orders.
