Came in here to chat about England's team but I see I've stumbled into the brexit thread with a few gammons embarrassing themselves.
And how does that do anything other than raise that dreaded awareness you don't like? Are they going to get everyone who sends Rashford racist abuse on Twitter to pay the fines for clubs not meeting their fixtures?I'm talking about striking. Properly. Walk off constantly.
Nah i'll start talking my mindStick to the gifs, fella
Shouldn't take too long if this thread is any indication.Nah i'll start talking my mind
but are much more likely to win the tournament, which is what I was talking aboutI don't think any of those have clearly better squads than England.
Frankly I think Deano and Johnstone are better - Pope suddenly is, when fitHeard that Maguire would only be ready in the knock-out stages. Goes to show how important he is to his teams eventhough people, including United fan loved knocking him down. I'd like to put Dean Henderson over Pickford but apparently it would create even bigger controversy on CAF.
I think Deano is the better goalie, but he isnt ready yet so I'd rather him on the England's bench this summer.
Nope im just not as brainwashed as some of you have been.
don't need glasses to tell me pretty much anyone is better than pickford: Pope when fit, Johnstone and Hendo now. Did you see pickford flapping al over the place against Austria?unfortunately there’s no one better than Pickford. Let’s not put on the red tinted glasses and claim Henderson is a better keeper.

I struggle to see this group suddenly turning it on, because I don't know what turning it on is with Southgate in charge sadly. He's just not the one.
Wasting a good group of players by sticking with him.
So the players walking off does nothing that the FA/Premier League couldn't do tomorrow if they wanted to. It's just a somehow better version of the awareness you didn't like earlier.Games don't get played and it hits everyone's pocketbooks. Believe me, the powers that be would come around to actual change. You want to extract change from billionaires then you have to force them to the bargaining table. Footballers make one hell of a wage, they can sustain punishment from their clubs for refusing to play. The players have the power to enact real change. Put some demands together and do something about them, we're talking about combating racism. Kneeling isn't putting up a fight.
Its his opinion, and hes entitled to it.What a moronic comment
So? An opinion can't be moronic? Its his opinion, and hes entitled to it.
Did I say otherwise? Its his opinion, and hes entitled to it.
Anyway, regardless of taking a knee or not, with obvious parallels to United, England have the wrong man in the job and are squandering a quality generation of footballers.
They should be one of the most exciting teams at the tournament and they won’t be.
Did I say otherwise?
Im entitled to comment on moronic posts just as he is entitled to make one.
Can anyone explain Godfrey to me?
Its england. The wet paint thread is betterSeems like this thread has been more entertaining than the match so far.
Weird that Rio Ferdinand was subject to racist abuse whilst working for BT at Wolves the other week, if it's not about racism but the fact people aren't distancing themselves enough from BLM. Did he walk on the pitch and kneel when nobody was looking?I commend you for saying how you feel despite the obvious risk of reactionary backlash.
I detailed in another thread the many ways I feel equality would be better reached than kneeling, but if players wish to take the knee then by all means carry on. I would argue though that few people have a strong problem with it, and mostly feel it hasn't been dissociated enough from the actual group 'BLM', rather than the slogan itself being problematic.
This argument is increasingly being dismissed as people protesting a group they don't understand but it still carries weight. BLM are a divisive organisation even among black people and seem to have a real problem with clarity between 'leaders' as well as a clearly defined 'mission' to 'defund the police.' this is a wildly unpopular position and the FA haven't been clear enough in dissociating the gesture from the organisation.
Should they be very explicit on that point, id suspect less resistance
Rubbish aren’t they, don’t understand the team he’s picked. Fetched half the right backs in England then picks Godfrey there. Its england. The wet paint thread is better
Or maybe they've had enough of woke shit?
edit: Wow really? an infraction? why not ban me again while you're at it?
what a cesspool this forum has become
It's been a year mate let's move on shall we?
Nope im just not as brainwashed as some of you have been.
So we had 4 RBs in our squad, one got injured so we have to play a CB at RB?He is a CB and not a RB which Southgate should have seen when we experimented him there.
If he'd done his job, he'd know that Holgate is the better player and is the one that can play right back. Godfrey is a CBHe is a CB and not a RB which Southgate should have seen when we experimented him there.
Tripper is the only one with the squad atm.So we had 4 RBs in our squad, one got injured so we have to play a CB at RB?
