ENG v RSA 3rd Test...

not is they keep bowling round the wicket

I was thinking about Monty and the run chase. Still looks a decent strip to bat on. I doubt much will chance in the next couple of hours. But you can never tell with run chases, sometimes the pressure can build up.

The wicket is getting better.

Need a minimum 325-50.

spot on. i even think that could be a comfortable run chase for them if they get themselves in and not play any rash shots ala england.

281 to win. maybe not quite enough me thinks.

the only way we can win this is if Freddy can get them 4-50 or summink

i agree. if they bat with some application and don't play any rash shots i think they will chase them down comfortably. we need a couple of the strike bowlers to make some serious inroads into their line up with the new ball.

It's a tricky target. I could see England winning, if it wasn't for the shit bowling attack. Monty's your best hope to run through them IMO.

fecks sake, fancy having tea the same time as half time at OT!

I flicked across briefly a few times during the first half, everytime we'd just taken a wicket! More of this please

We'll see the true test of the selectors if we win this game. We've done it despite top order failure again, and the usual suspects bailing us out. Will they act?

It's a truly superb game at the moment, although still in the balance. Ironically the only bowler who looks below par is Sidebottom, as he seems to be 5 mph below his New Zealand form.

If we win I cannot see a change in the team. I doubt the selctors would ever risk it. Where are we touring this winter? Is it the Caribbean?

Get in Monty. Just get that fat bastard Smith out - he's immense!

Fair fecks to Smith.

England lack an extra bowler. Sidebottom lacks fitness.

Well least this has put an end to the ridiculous pricing strategy of tomorrows play. It was never gunna be more than 30 minutes to an hour, and they were gunna charge £15 for people with tickets today if they bought them tonight; £20 for a random person showing up on the day. Pretty disgraceful really, it should have been a tenner for anyone absolute maximum

Well done to South Africa on winning the series, have certainly deserved it

So this is where we have come in three years.

Won the Ashes, followed by defeat in Pakistan and a decent home series the next year. Remember that the ECB were aiming for England to be number one in the world by now.

Then comes the drubbing, no, whitewash, in Australia, followed now by two home series defeats in two years under a new coaching system.

The 'best finger spinner in a generation' (so dubbed by Duncan Fletcher) doesn't have a coach, despite Shane Warne offering his services, we let both Allan Donald and Troy Cooley (the man behind our bowling in 2005) leave for other international teams, and we seem to have appointed the cricket equivalent of Steve McClaren as national coach.

I'm not even angry, I am just bemused at how far we are seemingly going backwards in this game? Please, someone correct me if I'm wrong, but there is something very badly wrong with the national team and the set-up at the moment.

England's selectors have been too loyal to dross.
