ENG v RSA 3rd Test...

Flintoff!!!

We're a bowler light in my opinion, I'd still have Broad in instead of Collingwood. But this is the best bowling line up we've fielded for some time. A sustained period of Freddy magic and it could yet be a game, for all we've tried to not make it so

England bowlers are way off the mark (rubbish) in likely perfect conditions for fast/medium paced bowling.

yep. we can't bowl and we can't bat. at least we are good in the field though. oh wait.

Brilliant catch from Anderson.

that was indeed. we have a small chance now to restrict them to a kind of total that will keep us in the game. kallis is due some runs though and i can see the bastard getting some, though the pitch is beginning to misbehave a little.

feck, i really wanted to see this match. any likelihood of either prince of kallis getting out soon?

not really. think play is now done for the day though, covers are on and it is drizzling.

kallis is starting to look pretty damn tasty. prince is solid as usual. we need a breakthrough soon to be anywhere near being in this game.

flintoff just had kallis absolutley plum with a brilliant yorker. poor umpiring. not out.

I'm sorry, that's an absolute shocker from the umpire. It doesn't get any plumber than that

Potentially ruined the game. England look like losing anyway, but that was a wicket

that was shocking. i think kallis will get big runs in this innings if he lasts until the end of the session. fred looks livid.

i predict a few short balls for kallis in the next over.

boom, kallis gone with the full ball again. great work from fred.

Oh yes! I erupted when Freddie took that wicket, my flatmate probably wondered what the feck was going on!!!

Anyone who questions the entertainment value of test match cricket should be made to watch those last two overs from Flintoff, it was absolutely brilliant. The shocking decision from the umpire actually made for more absorbing cricket, Kallis was doing well to survive as long as he did! Fired up Freddie, and I tell you what, he was unlucky not to take De Villiers first ball, was a belter and the lad did well to dig it out

I said we needed an extra bowler. You can;t take 20 wickets with a depleted attack. And it wasn't as if the likes of Collingwood were going to add many runs.

Selectors screwed this one up.

spot on brad. those two overs show why test cricket is the definitive form of the game. you just don't get that type of cricket in the shorter forms of the game.

hopefully fred can send at least one more batsmen back to the pavilion before the end of the session.

it is pattinson's fault, not the selectors, he refused to share his tickle me elmo with the other players and has totally destroyed team morale as a result.

flitoff is single handedly dragging us back into this game. come on fred.

It's riveting stuff at the moment.

Pity others are not in the same league as Freddy.

Strauss
Cook
KP
Shah
Bell
Prior
Freddy
Broad
Jones
Anderson
Panasar

That team is much better than SA.

i quite like that, slightly worried about the batting though, but it's unlikely that they'd do any worse than the current lot.

Pattinson doesn't exist.

Quality stuff from Fred. And Alim Dar is Waqar Younis. Clearly.

they bat all the way down to broad. prior is the best no. 6 in county cricket and he happens to be a wicket keeper. even anderson & jones can hold a bat.

he is now dead to the england dressing room yes, the filthy tickle me elmo hog.

that was a shocking decision from dar for the kallis lbw, the light didn't look too bad either. rubbish.

i think they are all good batsmen who are more than proficient with the bat but they strike me as fair weather players who score runs when they have a good platform but im not sure they will dig us out of many holes.

My team would be

Strauss

Shah
KP
Bell
Freddy
Foster
Broad
Sidebottom
Anderson
Panesar

Bopara has been doing really well in county cricket. I think he should be called up for the one day games and 20/20 games.

the three quicks have dragged us back into this. let's see what the batsman can do, a few of them might be batting for their places in the starting lline up of the next test.

Cook's gone for 9, and Vaughan'll need no telling how important this is for both England and himself.

Vaughan will make no more than 0, as will collingwood. Basically England are batting with 8 men.

oh vaughany, what have you done.

Big innings needed from Pietersen.

If SA get him out it could swing the match round totally as that only leaves Bell and Strauss. I don't see Collingwood putting up much resistance and it would be too much to rely on Flintoff so soon after coming back.
