End of Season. Moyes to Stay or Go Poll

End of season, Moyes to stay or go?

92%....

I'm curious as to how accurate of an indication the caf is of general fans' sentiment, particularly of matchgoers. I can't imagine season ticket sales doing well next season with Gollum at the helm.

Not a very accurate one at all.
I'd imagine the average age on here is probably 18-30, whereas the average season ticket holder age will be higher...with a lot of them no doubt remembering the give Fergie time history etc

Just looking at the poll results, mad really, but not unexpected. Still, a lot of people (me included) who only a few months ago were adamant that he needed 'time' voted go, it just shows how truly awful a job he's done here. I don't think there's any positives other than getting Januzaj into the team.

He is a better manager than this, which sort of reinforces the logic that he's way out of his depth here in a weird way, because he's completely unable to actually show any semblance of that here.

He is. I think none of us expected him to be so bad. Granted he's not the most attacking one, but I thought we would be more solid defensively and our overall play would be more cohesive.

This is a good thing, but since his explosive entrance to 1st team football, he has not progressed, in fact, like the rest of the team, he has, if anything, regressed.

NFL teams subject potential draft choices to all kinds of physical and psychological tests before deciding on picking any player-but given the importance of a quarterback, these prospects are given additional tests.

The results show that none of these tests reliably predict success. The reason is that many terrific college quarterbacks cannot cope with the pressure involved with being an NFL quarterback. Apparently it's very difficult to predict a prospect's response to pressure. Even success as the college level isn't an accurate guide.

I think Moyes is in a similar situation. Yes he's obviously knowledgeable about the game, and Everton was never a train wreck. But managing United entails a level of pressure that he was not exposed to at Everton. Some people just fail at meeting higher levels of expectations and pressure; we've all seen it in our personal and professional lives. There's no way Fergie or anybody could have known how Moyes would respond to the pressure of being United's manager-but from what I've seen Moyes just doesn't cut it.

I have to keep my loyalty with these players rather than the manager. They look misguided and clueless at the moment, no signs of a team, no purpose in our play, the defence has lost any kind of cohesion and the way we play with a 'number 10' is killing the central midfielders. As bad as he's been I've got huge sympathy for Carrick at the moment because that kind of player simply cannot play in this so called system we're trying, not against teams who will counter-attack at pace when your number 10 lethargically passes the ball wide and your central midfield partner is looking to join the slow attacks when possible.

2014 form is relegation form. No two ways about it, he's a lucky lucky man if he keeps his job. The only 'hope' which I don't hope is the money side of things becomes problematic in which case the people who run the club will have to take evasive action and relieve him of his duties.

By Wednesday at 9:45pm the season could be over (not that we're winning the CL anyway).

The lack of personality, conviction, confidence and vision irks me. He simply is not and will never be a top bracket manager. He's a hard worker who in fairness, did do well at Everton but there is no winning pedigree there, there isn't a particularly high ceiling for vast improvement where he learns on the job.

This kind of managerial appointment may have worked in the 80s and 90s but it's just dinosaur all round at the moment. I want to be so very wrong about this but I know I won't be.

Yeah, looks it. Bad move putting him into that yesterday, he's not strong enough for that sort of game yet.
But if what's being reported is true, in that there's little if any attacking training going on, it's harming all our creative and flair players.

It doesn't matter if he's strong enough or not, players like Rooney, RvP, Mata, Carrick, Vidic, Evra are certainly strong enough but everyone is thoroughly demoralised, so it wouldn't make any difference who we played.

That thing about Giggs frustration with the training might explain why he hasn't had a look in on the pitch for a while. I also realised that I don't remember seeing him sitting next to, or near Moyes on the bench recently either.

Not that, that or that. Genuine lifelong United fan.
odd, but lets see the vote 1 week later after we're out of Europe and losing to City.

Don't know what faith has some supporters in our version of Hodgson and what outcome is expected...

So he's finally lost RedCafe. I like the man, and he's a hard worker, but he's so obviously not up to it.

Snootyjim, FreakyJim and Sunny Jim all want him to stay. I guess their jimmies aren't that easily rustled.

I think anyone who voted to keep him should be banned so that redcafe is completely negative in every way.

And it means Tomalonge is banned too so..

I'm surprised he's got 8% of the votes tbh. Although I'd guess the real figure is more like 5% if you take away oppo fans votes.

...Oh no you don't!

Seconded.

We could rebrand the site to RedNaff.net

91.7% yet 3,000 people will still sing his name at Upton Park next weekend.

would love a season ticket only poll entering/leaving the ground, i wonder is anybody doing one?

After yesterday both those games seem inconsequential, after getting humbled like that yesterday against that lot, feels for me the lowest point we could reach, surrendering at OT, Liverpool dominated us, and march towards the Premier League crown no less, even if we go out against Olympiacos and City turn us over it wouldn't sting for some of our fans like myself, as much as yesterdays game.

I'm just sitting here now, like I suppose many are just wondering how long United's brass could potentially wait before they lose faith.

But he is a lifelong fan and 25. Which he has told us about 1000 times.

I'm one, and I'm still 50-50. But that's probably mostly because we look at Chelsea at being so small time constantly sacking managers, and we really don't want to go down that route.

I'm an ST holder and I'm very much in the he should go ASAP camp. Most of the ST holders around me that I talk to also want him gone - I don't think any of them go to aways mind.

I've nothing against the man. Not his fault he was picked when he's clearly not anywhere near the required level. I'm not anti-Moyes, I'm anti-shite football and anti-shite results.

Well... you're doing better then me. I'm starting to genuinely dislike the bloke... which is ridiculous really, and totally daft...but I can't help it.
