Elon Musk's epic bacon adventures

One of my friends, who is usually a very level headed and normal guy is somehow also an Elon Musk fan. I just asked him to at least admit that naming your child a random collection of symbols makes you a feckwit and he went off that Im not qualified to judge what other people name their child.

I mean sure, a Tesla is a cool looking car, but what's with the fecking cult following. He's obviously a lunatic. And a cnut.

Damian, Griffin, Xavier, Saxon and Kai.

This makes zero sense. Corporations issue stock when the price is considered high, and they can buy back stock when it's low. Usually, the stock price drops in value when when the company issues new stock (as all existing shareholders get diluted) and rises when the company buys back stock (shareholders get accreted). Enterprise value stays the same.

The whole bruhaha with stock buybacks is that companies use cash to buy back stock, causing stock price to rise allowing their management/executives to hit their exercise strikes on their stock options. Many, including myself, argue that that's a really awful use of cash proceeds by management to enrich themselves rather than building a cash buffer to withstand tough times, but that's for another thread.
 
Going through this thread I saw a couple of posts salivating over Grimes' looks. JFC people have weird tastes.

I really feel for that child. No one should have to put up with that as a name. Also good luck to anyone having to read that out loud on a role call.

Even the parents will grow tired of it after a while. Will just call him X or Eggsy for short when he goes to school unless Musk builds a school just for little Eggsy.
 
So in conversation isn't this kid just going to be introduced as Zeya or whatever? Seems fine, just a daft spelling.
