To be fair he's become a Billionaire, and has gotten to bang Grimes so much that she's pregnant.
He would, I imagine, have multiple houses all set up to deal with stuff like this.
From where he's sat, the World must feel very separate, and lots of things must seem far away and thus hard to empathize with.
But I'm sure he could at least imagine this is very, very scary for 'normal' people and families!

If they can get the equipment manufacturers to release the detail specifications/drawings quite a few big engineering companies will be able to contribute something - maybe even Tesla.
Firms who do their own design prototype construction and have the scale to do pre-production runs might be able to produce parts, even if it will take multiple suppliers. Prototype/pre-production facilities may well have both the skills and the flexibility to help - it needs massive coordination and design and commercial openness though.

Not surprising and the units still are potentially useful to the people receiving them. If they can find a way to use them safely then there are suggestions that they could offer patients better odds of avoiding the kind of deterioration that puts them in ICU.

These companies are literally at the forefront of technical invotation when it comes to vehicle development while Musk is merely a very large fish, in a very small market. There's a reason that his model s have practically had minimal design changes in 8 years....
