Has anyone joked it's Real Madrid boycotting electricity over losing the copa final?
They are boycotting the copa final result over lost power.Has anyone joked it's Real Madrid boycotting electricity over losing the copa final?
Wonder what caused it?
If South Africa doesn’t exist, then Spain doesn’t have a World Cup victoryIt is science fiction. South Africa doesn't exist. Is an allegoric movie depicting Israel
all foren muckSo much defrosted food...
Does that mean the Netherlands gets the W instead? If so I'm in favor of eliminating S Africa. If South Africa doesn’t exist, then Spain doesn’t have a World Cup victory

REN said: “Due to extreme temperature variations in the interior of Spain, there were anomalous oscillations in the very high voltage lines (400 kV), a phenomenon known as ‘induced atmospheric vibration’. These oscillations caused synchronisation failures between the electrical systems, leading to successive disturbances across the interconnected European network.”
Really? Atmospheric vibration caused an outage in three countries?
It seems to be extremes of temperature - hot days and cold nights - stressing overhead power cables. Which is plausible. Weird it never happened before though.
Engelaar said such a widespread failure was “extremely unusual”. However, there have been previous examples. In 2003 a problem with a hydroelectric power line between Italy and Switzerland caused a huge outage across Italy for about 12 hours. A 2006 German power overload caused outages as far away as Portugal and Morocco.
“Interconnection between countries is vital for sharing clean energy, but it also creates new pathways for failure to spread quickly,” Engelaar said.
However, Bruegel’s Zachmann said that interconnections also help to prevent problems from getting worse. The interconnector with France will make it “much easier to bring the electricity system back”. “Yes, problems spill over but at the same time the larger system acts as a buffer and prevents the crisis escalating,” he said.
Ghosts or Aliens, one of the 2, or maybe both.Really? Atmospheric vibration caused an outage in three countries?
I asume you live in a city? I am in the countryside and we only got power back at 4am. It was out for about 15 hours. Made for a chill day reading.I live in the south of Spain and the electricity has just come back now. It was off between 12:30pm and 10:30pm. It's pretty shocking how difficult life is without electricity for just a few hours.
As previously mentioned all traffic lights were out so even crossing the road was like a game of frogger![]()

Yea correct in a cityI asume you live in a city? I am in the countryside and we only got power back at 4am. It was out for about 15 hours. Made for a chill day reading.
Absolutely terrible luck.I had internet and electricity at work until 5 PM and the power came back at 10 PM so really the only difference from a normal day is that I ate dinner at the balcony to get some sunlight.
If you don't build any public transport, then nothing can go wrong. My mates wife is always giving out about how backwards Ireland is and how everything is better back home.
Usually I ask her why they can't drink the water from their taps, but this little episode will be very enjoyable for a while.
Kudos to you for the self awarenessNothing would make me happier as a catalan. Yes, another made up country
