Electricity off in all of Spain and parts of Portugal

I'm not really sure how this could happen.

Transport systems not running, in fact nothing running in large parts of Spain.

Unprecedented I think.

It’s going to be Russia isn’t it

I'll be honest, this is the type of chaos I live for. Hospitals should have back up generators so feck it.

Cheeky day off work? Yes please. I work at the pub, beers would be had over here.

The French have just sensed an opportunity to do no work and have just turned off the power at the wall. Expect Greece to follow shortly.
Christ, best hope the Aussies don't learn of this trick

Most likely some software/maintenance/natural hazard cause here.

It does hint at a single point of failure, no?
Yes, which seems like an unbelievably amateurish strategic weakness.

“Hey comrades, what’s the plan for our invasion of Spain?”

“Easy, we’re flipping off the power at 4pm, by 8pm we should have full control”

By the time the Spanish Government find the on switch, every channel will be broadcasting Russian State propoganda.

A bunch of my friends are currently in Barcelona, out of their tiny minds on drugs, at a Kruder & Dorfmeister gig to celebrate one of them turning 50.

I shouldn’t really but :lol::lol::lol:
Did your invite get lost in the post?

I think so. But that would be a bit stupid, as Portugal and Spain have been rather hesitant to help Ukraine so far. So antagonising them doesn’t make much sense. Or am I missing something?

It doesn't really matter who did it, because if you can cut power to three countries from one single point, then they are fecked at some point anyway.

catalan seperatists, nation states, some hackers or a criminal gang, if you have a central weakness, it will be exploited. Repeatedly now its out there.

Liked and shared Bristol

Seriously how are thousands of Brits meant to get their eggs and chips for dinner? They’re be trouble.

Dave in the jolly pirate told bbc news that it had taken him a tiring 5 mins to walk to the bar as he couldn’t charge his mobility scooter. “I had to get down and save the beer from going warm. It’s all about priorities isn’t it. God knows what we’re gonna do for dinner though”

The Brits are having a really bad time out there judging by the BBC feed. I have no idea how they're surviving.

"Worst of all, at a holiday destination like Benidorm, Mark says bars are unable to serve drinks because of a lack of power to their pumps.

"If you haven’t got a drink, you are out of luck," he says."
