God forbid we err on the side of caution with players returning from long term injury. Very weird thing to complain about when the player we miss most of all right now is absent because we did the exact opposite of what you’re complaining about here.

I'm not talking about giving him 90 mins in his first game back from injury. Mainoo played 45 mins last week in the UEFA Youth League. It is not unreasonable to have wanted to see him play for a half tomorrow.God forbid we err on the side of caution with players returning from long term injury. Newcastle United plays high intensity, very physical game. Also considering the rival history between two clubs, it’s high octane game. Really not a good game to drift in Mainoo who is still in process to build match fitness after sidelined for so long.
