Some decent games and they're all available to watch on Sky. I don't know why but I feel like Palace could cause an upset.

Hopefully Southampton do. New manager bounce. They was close to beating them last time.

Newcastle Brentford is a flip of a coin, so is our game.

Liverpool with the easiest game ever.
Liverpool will likely rotate and Southampton will be up for it with someone new in charge. They almost upset them last time.

Arsenal resting pretty much everyone, Palace at full strength. Come on Palace, do them!

Not overly happy about so many changes. Even though it's the league cup, I think when you get to the context of where Arteta and Arsenal are right now, and you are playing a quarter final at home with a great chance of getting through to a semi final, you make sure you win the game.

Only 3 games to glory, win the Carabao cup and the season is a free hit. Its an amazing trophy after all!

Tierney making a return from injury. Starts for Arsenal
Wonder how Southampton will fare against a much changed Liverpool squad

What's the point? Not like this impacts qualifying for the Charity shield, which is the main goal for the season.

Really unlucky for Bednarek's attempted pass interception to skew off his shin and just lob up right in Nunez's path for the Liverpool goal.

Such a weird rule that Andy Robertson's red card suspension gets served in this game, where a suspension from accumulating too many yellows in the league is for league games only.

It's outdated. At one time a player or club would rather have their players available for the cup as it was a big match, now teams rotate and don't really care.

It's probably from when getting sent off for denying an obvious golascoring chance wasn't a thing too, and when red cards only happened from very bad tackles or violence. Those would be multiple game bans anyway, but a red for what he did get sent off for is not anything bad as such. Happens to all defenders at some point and comes with the territory of being a defender, just like bookings do.
