Can't wait to see him play. He will be great this season as well, there simply is no other way with his professionalism and experience.
Why the late return?
Why the late return?
You do realize that everything on Insta or other social media doesn't have to be taken on the same day it's posted, right ?Looking at his Instagram, doesn’t even look like he’s back in the country yet….
He was away from home and his family for nearly a year so he was probably given more time off. Wouldn't be surprised if this was agreed when he signed his new contract.
I don’t mind the time off but the double standards in our fan base is ridiculous
No doubt about that. We would've been stupid to say no.it’s a no brainier really.
Somebody like Cavani will appreciate the trust and extra generosity given to him. I have no doubts when he returns he will be absolutely flying!
We've had a pandemic over hereIgnorant on this matter but any reason why has family couldnt come and visit him at all last season?
That It is ok for Cavani but Sancho should stand outside Carrington with his bag waiting to open the gates minute after the referee blow his whistle at Wembley. What double standard?
Think he might be referring to those being ticked off at Sancho spending an extra few days on holiday. What double standard?
Age it’s hardly like he’s some kind of geriatric, he’s a professional athlete ffs.I would imagine due to age
Probably sensible to give him a slightly longer rest after an international tournament. Likely will only miss the Leeds game

Both instances are totally fine, and well deserved for different reasons.
sorry I'm just laughing at actually picturing this scenario playing outThat It is ok for Cavani but Sancho should stand outside Carrington with his bag waiting to open the gates minute after the referee blow his whistle at Wembley.
You’re ignoring science. Football players in their early to mid 30s need to alter their fitness regime.Age it’s hardly like he’s some kind of geriatric, he’s a professional athlete ffs.

Yep…..if it’s ok for one it’s ok for allThink he might be referring to those being ticked off at Sancho spending an extra few days on holiday.

Which doesn't completely stop travelling inbetween countries, especially with his funds and for such a time period where restrictions have gone up and down. Insightful comment though. We've had a pandemic over here
They may not have been comfortable with the journey. So many people have reacted differently to the difficult situation the world has been in, its a bit daft to be presumptions and assume 1) the family could have visited without any concerns and 2) that the home comforts of Uruguay would be served just from seeing some family members.Which doesn't completely stop travelling inbetween countries, especially with his funds and for such a time period where restrictions have gone up and down. Which I believe no one is assuming. They may not have been comfortable with the journey. There's no double standard
The capacity our fanbase has for mining unnecessary drama is bewildering at times; childish even. That It is ok for Cavani but Sancho should stand outside Carrington with his bag waiting to open the gates minute after the referee blow his whistle at Wembley.
Depends on your concept of "visiting family" and having quality time with them.Which I believe no one is assuming.
I just wonder how it could be a matter of they couldn't visit whilst he has visited. There could be numerous reason for that, but just by saying we're in a pandemic doesn't make much sense.
Of course it does. The pandemic has limited travel for people globally. Its not a matter of money.Which I believe no one is assuming.

No problem. Thanks for clearing that up chief
It has limited, but surely if there is a way for him to go to Uraguay, which he has and come back. There's a way for them to visit him technically. I understand that might not be practical with all the limitations and inconveniences present.Of course it does. The pandemic has limited travel for people globally. Its not a matter of money.
No problem.
This is all fair enough.Depends on your concept of "visiting family" and having quality time with them.
1. Family for us is an enlarged concept, I have 54 cousins and when I used to live in the UK the first thing I did upon return was have two asados with at least 30-40 people in each (dad's side, and mom's side). Clearly not practical to fly 60+ people over + quarantines on the way out and in vs 3-4 people (by the way, had a baby in June).
2. Setting. You chill at home, where everyone (invluding yourself) is comfortable. Having people visiting a foreign country ain't the same, more so for a footballer who has to stay focused on training, games, and not being some sort of hospitality and sightseeing specialist (in a place you hardly got to grips yourself).
3. Weather. It's crap, good thing they didn't go over and bitch all day about it.
Is that just about different enough?
