I’m not sure what the first part is implying to be honest? You should’ve been clearer and more honest with your stats.Whether two, four or six we can agree to disagree but not on the gist of this.
How hard is that? Does it justify banging on and on about a specific player being a problem?
I saw earlier you going on about Pogba never getting a fair chance from fans and thus not owing us anything. The shoe fits, doesn't it? What loyalty or commitment can we expect from players if we are a bunch of cnuts constantly running down half our squad and even abusing them on social media?
I'm not at all happy that inside 12 months we've gone from comfortable second and EL runner-ups to utterly hopeless. Players have a lot to answer for, yes, but us fans aren't smelling of roses either. In fact, we've been part of the problem for a while now.
With regards to Pogba, his contract is expiring in May, as is Cavani’s, at that point they both owe us nothing. People are angry that Pogba is leaving at the end of his contract. My thoughts are that I can understand why he’s leaving. Those who are skating him for that are typically those who don’t want him to sign an extension anyway and have let that be known for years.
With regards to the current situation, I’d rather Pogba had not stated twice that it might be better for him to move….however he has never asked to leave the club while under contract and has always, despite being rather injury prone that past few years, made himself available for selection…including coming back early from an international tournament break to play the first game of the season after only a weeks pre season. Attempting to come back from ankle injury too soon ultimately leading to him needing an operation. He doesn’t have an 83% v 39% availability record when it comes to international v club football.
Yet he is the one who is abused. Rather than the guy who actually asked to leave after 6 months, again after 18 months, who wanted to miss another month playing for us after an extended summer break, never mind coming back early, and who has barely kicked a ball for us since we declined his requests to leave….but plays for Uruguay.
So I don’t see the comparison in this case. My opinion is Cavani has down tooled since January but not for Uruguay and to be frank, scoring 4 league goals from September to April last season means that he’s only had two months of worthy performances in any case. Waste of money, doesn’t want to be here. Thankfully he’s gone in the summer.
