It's the daily mail
It's the daily mail
Are there more sources? United usually ignore news. You think this is left hanging all over the British press for 24 hours without being a club briefing? I don't.

If it's just the mail, my point still stands. The club normally brief multiple outlets if news is true or they want something out there. The way I see it, the club briefed the press early this year about hiring a DoF and now the club is briefing that there won't be structural changes.
The other outlets refer to the Mail article. I think it's hubris that's making Ed cling on to power. I don't think he'd ignore this if it was inaccurate.

Daily mail and other tabloids often make stuff up.
We may not end up with a DoF. But I wouldn't use a DM article as evidence.
i can see why Woodward jumped at the chance to sign up Ole without even looking at other options. If he had to work with the likes of Zidane, Woodward would actually have to prove himself. Madrid have an awful season and already have bought FIVE upgrades. Woodward can't even settle a deal quickly for the likes of AWB. It seemingly takes multiple weeks and multiple bids to secure an english prospect from the same league?
Christ Woodward.

Quite now or Johan07 will come for you! Some guys actually think that Ed Woodward is not to blame and that is a major mistake, that is the same arsehole who helped the Glazers in their hostile takeover of the club, and he is now our DOF, how has that worked out over the last seasons? We have gone from being top dogs to be scraping for scraps. Some idiots seem to want to defend Ed Woodward, I ask how can you defend such a person unless you are him. He has helped with the takeover in order that he can become the CEO. And since that has happened United have become shit. Manchester United are currently a mid table team in England, can the Glazers keep us there or will they let us go even lower?
Sure, why not?
I like how you avoid answering my question...
If a manager demands a player be kept by giving them a new deal and the board reluctantly agree, who is at fault?
No one wants to answer it because they know the foundation of that error is with the manager and it diverts blame away from Woodward and that completely goes against their blind, illogical hatred.
Yes I suspect Konkhead is milking them (Arsenal) for his American project2 months to sign one kid from Swansea. Well done Woodward.
Meanwhile Real Madrid with the big club mentality and knowing that they need to restructure the team have signed 6 players. 0 plan, 0 transfer strategy.
We are a joke of a club. The laughing stock of football with Arsenal at the moment.
Well lets really bring it down to its bare bones shall we?
For me personally, he's failed in not rolling out a DoF structure with LVG's appointment and changing from LVG to Jose, by that I mean it was a complete 180 in ideals at the club. It undone all the work over 2 years.
- Did he hire the best men that were available at the given time of recruitment? Their (LVG & Jose) CV's backed it up. Yes
- Did he give them freedom to conduct their own structure within the club? Playing style, coaching staff, scouting etc? Yes.
- Did he financially support both men? £250m approx for LVG & £350m for Jose...basically impossible to suggest he hasn't here. So its a resounding Yes.
- Did he offer to hire a DoF to aide Jose? Story goes yes he did. Jose fell out with the Real DoF (previously) and we've interviewed former players about taking a TD role so it seems there is some genuine truth to it.
LVG rolled out structure across the club, invested in youth with possession based football and long term goals in mind vs ignored the club structure, ignored youth and went for short term results based on conceding possession.
It was a hostile takeover and now it is showing itself to be just that, it is a money grab from the club, and nothing else. The biggest enemies of Manchester United as a football club right now are not Manchester City or Liverpool, it is the Glazer family and in particular the guy who has helped them take over the club and is the current CEO, and also DOF of United. His name is Ed Woodward and you can see him at many matches looking like he gives a shit after a bad performance by twisting his multi coloured scarf in knots and making a face. The guy does not give a shit about United as a football team.He literally does not care one jot about our footballing progress. And our owners allow and facilitate that
True fans can make their voice heard by boycotting matches and not buying shirts, but the major problem remains and that is that most people have no clue what is going on and will continue to support these arseholes. If he doens't get enough quality in this summer he should get chucked out on his ear. Enough with the bullshit.

Calm down...we've made an inquiry re a certain Sean Longstaff...2 months to sign one kid from Swansea. Well done Woodward.

Nail on the head.We have a strategy. Don't buy many players or spend too much. The season tickets are in,job done. People need to stop thinking Ed is clueless. This isn't him being inept, quite the opposite. He's excelling at his mission.....to save money and line the pockets of his bosses. The man is the complete opposite of clueless.

This is the guy who handed the club to the Glazers, and now he is in charge of it. Incredible
Whilst filling the pockets of his previous employers PWC with audit payments to over £800000 a year. Quiet incredible indeed.
Sounds more like a con man tbh.
- Public company survey respondents. The 2017 FERF survey, which covers 2016 audit costs, found that, for 161 public company survey respondents, audit fees averaged $7.4 million, with a median fee of $2.8 million. The median audit fee rose 1.3 percent, compared to a 1.6 percent increase in 2015. The survey respondent average audit fee was up 6.9 percent, compared to a 2015 increase of 4.5 percent.
Not at all, I am just suggesting that most are ill informed. Are you suggesting most United fans are idiots?
