The more this man talks is the more irritated I get.
The fecker has zero self awareness
Go fist yourself, Edward.
He is right. All our transfers were given the go ahead by the manager. I don't think Woodward knew that the likes of James or Blind existed. However if the football men asks for 7 signings and he ends up concluding just 3 of them simply because the club is too slow and incompetent to get deals done then that will of course impact the football side
stop it, not you EdNot you, Ed.
... Is your name Ed?stop it, not you Ed
I've not laughed this much since the last time I laughed this much
Because Woodward has staked his current status on Ole succeeding. I don't think he will be fired along with Ole but he will emerge from the Ole shambles with much less power and influence than he has for the last six years. There is simply no way the Glazers are going to pay off a third long managerial contract in 6 years and continue trusting Woodward explicitly with their most prized asset that is fast losing value on account of his ineptitude. The way I see it is that after Ole is sacked, and its now just a matter of when, Woodward will be forced to cede all footballing power to a DOF and this is why he is on the defensive.I don't get this briefing by Woodward at all. Fighting talk but surely this will come back to bite him cuz there is no guarantee of Ole surviving even the Liverpool game. What happens if we are tonked 3-0? Or if we cont to lose and are in relegation zone?
Why this bravado when we are in such shit position?
stop it, not you Ed

I want to laugh too!
You're missing the point. They spent the money for LVG. He spent on possession based players. Then they hire Jose, he needs a totally different type of player to LVG, so the majority of the money spent for LVG was wasted. Jose needed to get rid of possession based players for anti possession, counter attack players.Approx. 600m spent on players in the last 6 years. Hey , you can still choose to say managers weren't supported and needed more money. Fact is, managers who spent that money were clueless or not spending on the right players.
No wonder why Ed want to take charge of it.
He's proved he can't.Yeah, the vision is a match, the words are right, but can he actually deliver?
It's not Ed's job to tell Manager 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 that player c, g, k, p and v aren't good enough, it's to support the Managers and make as much money available for incoming transfers/new contracts as he can, and he's done a bloody job of that, he's a Managers dream.
Now you understand how I feel when I read your posts in defence of Ed!

It's like investing to build a house. Then halfway through you keep knocking it down and starting again with a new design, a new builder. But you only give each builder enough money to build half a house!
The lurching from opposingly different styles of play from manager to manager has meant that every time we start again.
That is on Ed. You want him to take charge of it again!!? Wow.

And then we went for "youth, courage, success" route which brought us to the current state of the team which is nothing less than shambolic as a direct consequence of all these decisions.
Wonder which will be our slogan and direction for next year.
Win trophies
Blind loyalty.
Glad that he is feeling the heat. He's actually getting me vex
Well as long as you're been educated what's the harm?
Why would any manager want to sell any player then? Balancing the book is not their job. They obviously don't care if they have a Phil Jones in the team, worst case scenario, he'll be luxury ball boy. It's not Ed's job to tell Manager 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 that player c, g, k, p and v aren't good enough, it's to support the Managers and make as much money available for incoming transfers/new contracts as he can, and he's done a bloody job of that, he's a Managers dream.

If you ask any of them, they want new toys and whatever. That's exact attitude is why we still have Rojo in the team.
Opportunity cost is opportunity cost. We don't have unlimited budget and our model is outdated for current market.
We have biggest wage bill in the league ffs and you are here telling me it isn't CEO's job then what is? Damage control?
Does vex play in central midfield? He's actually getting me vex
And a supporters nightmare.
I'd say I'm being entertained more than educated...more than what Ed and his dross are managing!
Only the precious ones.
Bus, Under, ThrowThe tragic part is that he is telling the truth, at United football decisions are supposed to be taken by a combination of Butt, Murtough and the manager depending on wether we are talking about the first team or the academy. Now people have wondered about the common denominator since 2013 and on that side of the club it's Murtough, someone that people completely ignored until a week or two ago.

Maybe his next interview will be about why he fvcks around for months in the summer not making transfers and goes on holiday instead. But manages to spend an awful lot of time smarming around noodle organisations making money for his parasitic pathogen employers.
and while we’re at it let’s hope those w@nkstains that own the club start ‘releasing’ charm offensives soon too
Well at least you admit to being educated, at least i'm not totally wasting my time.
That wouldn't be John Murtough, a Scouser brought to the club by David Moyes would it?
Bus, Under, Throw
And yet you're proving my point. Instead of renewing Phil Jones' contract, we could have Harry Macguire for few seasons ago if invested smartly. This is the same Ed that overpaid players when he could get them sooner & cheaper. The Manager whoever he is still needs a squad, and if he feels certain players are worth keeping around in case of injuries it makes sense to, as long as they are not disruptive what's the harm, it's not as though we've got half a dozen players like Winston Bogarde sat around counting their pennies making no effort to get into the team.
