Leave Women's Football Alone!!!
How long do we have to wait usually till we see actual gameplay footage or reviews from decent reviewers who have played it?
I think it was mostly in-game footage misleadingly labelled as game-play.
It looks terrible, doesn’t show off the game at all and if anything emphasises the lack of realism on the actual football side of things. The way the ball moves in some of those little clips was just bizarre, felt like it was being pulled by a magnet most of the time.
I’ve given up on Konami. As a PES guy for the longest time, their work over these past 3 years is nothing short of laughable. I’m 2020 they decided to chuck giving us an actual game and just went with PES 2021 season update to just update their previous games roster and stats. And then for the past few years they’ve updating the same efootball game with incremental gameplay tweaks, online events and packs (one week Spanish players !! Next EPL players !! Yaay).
Juat hoping that between this and Konami we get at least one game that's semi playable this year as a football sim.
Both failed spectacularly last year. EA its like they were deliberately trying to make fifa 23 as far removed from resembling actual football as possible, while who even knows what Konami were or still are doing. They quite literally deleted their own game and replaced it with a demo of itself.
They keep showing that Haaland goal, the game is going to have players trying to do that at all times instead of heading. How is the host not bursting out laughing every time he's like "wow that looks amazing".
They get to the part about the actual engine and then just go "yeah it looks better".
Which is basically impossible. I doubt anyone will even pick it up at the prices FIFA have been quoting, most likely they will just find a studio to do a game on their behalf, make it F2P or mobile and it’ll be utter crap.Yeh PES is dead, no doubt. Our only hope is that whoever picks up the FIFA licence knows what they're doing.
Ultimate team killed it as a game. They put all their eggs in that money making basket and completely forgot to update the game around it.
My son bought Fifa 22 for the switch, and when he brought it to mine and I saw it was "Legacy Edition" it sounded like something extra, but it turned out that Legacy Edition just means they've rebadged the previous FIFA with new kits and charged £35 for it. I did some research and it was the same game as FIFA 20 pretty much with no updates.
Robbing bastards. The amount of money they must make and they can't even be arsed to build a new game for the next gen consoles. I suppose people lapping it up regardless and having no real competition will lead to that though.
I used to love PES 6, and even they dropped the ball with the first version on the PS3, which was absolutely fecking atrocious.
There's watered down, and then there's just changing the kits year on year, leaving the same game as 2020 and charging £30 for it.Totally agree about UT.
In relation to Switch, that version of FIFA is always watered down - if you want the "real" FIFA you need the current gen from either Xbox or PS.

Just got this on EA pass (79p trial), what the hell why have they lost the stone roses licence? Makes home games in my career mode less enjoyable by some margin!
Also why does everything take forever? Input lag is dreadful.
Thought this was the Fifa 23 threadDon’t know what game you’re playing but it’s definitely not this.
You can play the entire game for free with the EA pass, what's the 79p for?Thought this was the Fifa 23 threadcarry on!
Saying I spent 79p on EA pass trial. You can play the entire game for free with the EA pass, what's the 79p for?
Got ya.Saying I spent 79p on EA pass trial.
If you want to support a Fifa rival
I can't find much else about it
This is the problem, practically nobody has the experience. Perhaps if some ex-EA employees and ex-Konami employees come together they could make a company that draws on their collective experience to make a football game. For all the shit we give Fifa, there’s fecking decades of development in these games that would take years for others to get close to when building from the ground up with a small team.
I wouldn’t hold hope of Fifa rival unless bigger studios get involved.

I think that if a company starts small and focuses on making the gameplay actually fun but feel real with a small roster they can take it from there.
I'm not sure about thatI'm still hoping 2K eventually take a punt on it. Every sports game they make is class to the point I've played loads of seasons on NBA2K and ended up getting into the sport due to the games being so good.
I'm not sure about that
