I'm sure he can but its difficult to tailor for 'overweight, big mac churning mango despot'. Far more flattering for him to go for ill-fitting, oversized suits. It's mad that he can't afford to have a tailored suit
Clearly Trump doesn't have the cash himself.Dodgy Don Hankey has Trump in his pocket.
I suppose a loan shark was his only option once the banks abandoned him.

That is an argument for the DA to simply refuse the bond. The fact that Trump is not putting forward his own money after quite a generous decision means that the cnut is mocking the law.
He's been mocking the law his entire life, why would it stop working now? That is an argument for the DA to simply refuse the bond. The fact that Trump is not putting forward his own money after quite a generous decision means that the cnut is mocking the law.
Something he has done for decades. Its passed time for the authorities to assert themselves where Trump is concerned. That is an argument for the DA to simply refuse the bond. but heAs soon as Trump was indicted under the Espionage Act, he should have been thrown straight to jail pending trial like the many others who were indicted on similar charges.
Merrick Garland should never have been appointed as Attorney General because the meekness from the authorities starts with him when you need ruthlessness instead.
but he
Garland may be meek but he doesn't decide whether someone is thrown in jail, that's a judge's decision
I'm not against detention either, I'm just saying you are picking on the wrong person, the politicans write the laws, they could mandate dention for any crime they choose, but don't, the judiciary have a lot of sway in what the choose dention wise, they are the ones to blameIt's the trickle-down effect. As much as that term is totally wrong in economics, it applies in other domains. If the Attorney General at the top is not an aggressive person on the job, you can be sure that judges will not be inclined to be more ruthless in their rulings. It's not only in Florida; it's in every single jurisdiction in which Trump is currently facing an indictment.
For the record, I'm a firm believer in pre-trial detention because 1) it keeps the accused tightly on a leash, 2) it avoids polluting the jury pool, and 3) the trial can proceed within a reasonable timeframe instead of suffering further delays.
Well " ruthlessness" is not the word I would use. Firmness perhaps. As soon as Trump was indicted under the Espionage Act, he should have been thrown straight to jail pending trial like the many others who were indicted on similar charges.

Well, well, well. The New York Attorney General filed a motion seeking more information about Trump's $175 million bond in her case.
What happens if they don’t justify the surety? The bond will have no effect, says the AG’s filing, “except that the surety shall remain liable on the Bond until a new undertaking is given and allowed.” This is far from over, fellas.

Just sounds like another delay to me, so another win for Trump.
Oh that's a shame
The rest of the first tweet is interesting. "Illegally" inflating the value of property is just a common real estate practice, now.
Second tweet is a bit cnutish.
It's not a technicality. These companies are licensed and regulated to avoid money laundering and influence peddling, among other things. This isn't a surety company so it's basically just some random fool saying he will cover the $175 million, but getting it out of him would be different than getting it from a legit company. They also didn't file all the paperwork, didn't show where their money was (he tried to list assets and property), didn't sign things, the whole document is a mess. This bond should be rejected and it will be just as if Trump posted no bond at all. This feels like a technicality to me. As distatesful as it is, the bond should hold. Now there's something glorious about who is issuing it, how they became rich and what that should say to Trump's 'supporters' but that's the kind of cognitive connections we can't expect out of the GOP.
The definition of 'feck around, find out'.Never forget Ashli's final words though - 'I can't breach.'
Never forget.
That would be difficult 'cos Epstein didn't pop his clogs in RikersIf he's going to serve time in Rykers, I would make sure he is put in the same jail cell where Jeffrey Epstein was last seen alive. That should scare the shit out of him straight away.
It's more like Trump's guarantor wrote a bad cheque. This compounds his problems. He was given a 10 day extension to post bond for the reduced amount - and he didn't. So the next step is moving to seize assets, putting liens on properties, and the like. There is no delay, and no additional time is being afforded him (as of now anyway).Just sounds like another delay to me, so another win for Trump.

What do New York State laws say about the penalty for swindling? That is basically what Trump just did through such a shady attempt at posting a bond.
Trump trying to sue Judge Merchan as some ham handed appeal: the dude is shitting his fecking pants now. The trial (jury selection) starts MONDAY, and he’s facing 34 felonies. Prison is a real possibility for him, and he’s cracking under the pressure.
On a side note, imagine how fecking awful it would be to have Trump as your cellie. As if prison isn’t bad enough, you’d have to deal with that cnut 24/7.
Does it matter? The "judges" decide what the law is on any given day, and they have decided that Trump is untouchable.
