Everyone purposefully ignoring Nunez stinking out the place last season.

Liverpools signings of late haven’t been that great. But they’re still very quick. Needed a midfield rebuild - have got two done and chasing a third in the beginning of July

Standard media ignoring add-ons to paint Liverpool as master transfer strategists

It will be the difference of FX that makes it under £100m, so she's hardly got a point anyway.

Reddy is a Liverpool fluffer. You'd never see her put out anything even slightly questioning of one of their transfers.

They've signed two players for their release clause, hardly takes transfer wizardry to do that. MacAllister is a good signing for the price, but I'm not sure about Szoboszlai at all, and £60m is hardly pocket change. They're very much paying for potential at the moment, and he's coming into such a tough league. Time will tell, but better players than him have come here and struggled.

Neither of them are transformative.

The guy who put nunez song. Will he put any song for szoboszlai?

They’ve got a great price for both signings.

You just know if we were in for Mac Allister we’d have been quoted double, whilst we’d have waited until the stock market opens before announcing Szoboszlai.

Hate to say it but Liverpool got a great talent here. Newcastle we’re sniffing around so they just pounced and boom.

Easy when it’s release clause though. Still fair play….we would still be ‘thinking’ of bidding.

Early bird catches the worm…..

Very mature language.

She was a Liverpool correspondent for some website. Obviously she wasn't going to write badly about them. Now she's a reporter for Sky and we can expect neutral reporting from her. In fact, she recently said very complimentary things about us.

Liverpool literally paid the release clauses.

At least get your facts straight if you want to have relevant criticism of the club

He price is the same, both £60m. The 70m is €.

Szoboszlai is very good, not seen enough of mount to compare/comment about him.
Good bit of business and I think he’s on half of Mounts wages. Now we just need Fabinho to get back to form or get some iron in that midfield before the season starts.

Mac Allister replaces Keita
Szoboslai replaces Ox

I'd say that is phenomenally transformative. Huge difference. They're both walking upright for a start.

Were they starting players though? Surely they've come in to replace Henderson, Milner and Wijnaldum? Who have all been very successful players for you.

Oh go and clutch your pearls somewhere else!

She's a Liverpool fan. I think her beat is Manchester now, so she has to be complimentary if she wants access.

All sky correspondents are sensationalist bullshitters. Just paid to drive clickbait.

How do they replace Keita and Ox when they're going to be starters? It's like saying Mason Mount replaces Van de Beek.

Won’t let me post it but on google search tonight the number 1 trending search is “Dominik szoboszlai pronunciation “ God only knows how those muppets are going to butcher his name

Because United news sells more than Liverpool news.

Liverpool were in talks regards MacAlister since end of March, so it took them two months or so to get that one over the line, it's just no one was really that bothered in the media to make it big news.

I honestly think it’s more to do with the kind of news you consume. A Liverpool fan will probably say their transfers drag on and on. I know Chelsea fans feel that way about Chelsea transfers. When you follow every minute daily update about your own club’s transfers but barely pay attention to say Liverpool, then of course it’s gonna seem like one drags on and on and the other was wrapped quickly.

So true. Arsenal fans moan the same way we do as well.

Him and Alexis might be failures but to me its speaks a lot about Liverpools planning. If you have a budget to stick to, do you know whats the easiest way to stick to it? By going after players you want with a set release clause. And judging by how early in the market they have done it, shows that they have been planning this a few months.

Yeah, for sure there's that as well.

Again, they have been in talks with Macallister since the end of March,
So not really that quick.

Because after our humongously sapping quadruple attempt Henderson and Fabinho were mentally finished for months. So we used Keita and Ox for the majority of last season...oh... wait a minute.... Can you see what I'm drawing yet?

I can't be the only one who thinks Mac Allister is overrated .. he is OK..

Fabinho (based on last season) and Mac Allister are very average.. Absolutely nothing special there..
No clue about this guy.. seems to be highly rated..

Does he play in the midfield or is he more of a 10/attacker?

Nah.

Chamberlain played about 9 games last season

70m . People were crying we paid 55 for Mount.
Same position, almost similar age .

Oh no, it's Liverpool so definitely they can't be wrong. Brilliant value !
Their days of moneyball are long gone, although some of their fans will disagree even after all the money spend on Nunez, Gapko etc and now this and macallister. They got their success by under the radar signings for low fees

They made multiple record breaking transfers
