So are you saying our scout has signing privileges and these can actually overrule the manager’s opinion?
These signings are future stars for us, not Mourinho. However, we were looking for the director of football, we wanted Monchi last summer but that job limited role has been given to Ribalta to identify the type of players we want and should sign whilst until we can find the director of the football, which I believe we will do when Jose is leaving. I think Ribalta will overrule manager's opinions if the scouting department is not convinced that one of Jose's target would be good for us but it is up to Ed Woodward to decide.
Ed Woodward has adopted Chelsea's academy policy in 2016 for the transfer window after restructuring the academy and scouting network, they would be considered cash cow as the extra income for our transfer window budget to spend and also bringing through youngsters. Juve has the same policy as Chelsea with all loans and sells them later, which Ribalta was working at Juve scouting before, he has experience of doing stuff like this, signing a lot of youngers and for the academy, it has worked so well for Juve.
