Doesn’t matter you won’t use the name Dalot. How does one pronounce his name ? Da-lo or Da-lot ?
Ermmm Ruben Neves was well established in the Porto side.
Am I wrong in thinking he played most of the season as RM?
United fans are generally very patient, especially with young talent who show a work ethic.I hate how nowadays portuguese players get sold even before they've freaking played for their club. Dalot played 7 games for Porto, Bernardo Silva played 3 games for Benfica, Cancelo played 2 games for Benfica, Andre Gomes, Dier and Renato Sanches played half a season, Ruben Neves didn't have enough time to even settle as a starter, Andre Silva had lost his place in the starting eleven. Even kids from the academies are getting poached.
It's obvious Dalot would develop better by staying in Porto than he would by playing 5 games for the whole season at United so hopefully if he's going he makes sure he's going to get enough opportunities. Reading this place I'm also sure the fans won't give him the patience he needs so he better have a great start.
If he renews you will change your opinion? There was a mutual agreement between him and the club to renew his contract, all there was left was signing the paper at the end of season, which was why Porto agreed to sell Ricardo to Leicester. After so much showing off his love for the club in recent weeks both on social media and TV, and even being aware of the club's situation, he gives the finger to those who allowed him to play football on the highest level. Seems the kid has a poor character and is ill advised.
Talented players leave us every season. We can't compete financially with the top leagues. It's just how it is. What is sad though, is a player that knew that we sold our best RB and would now have the place for him, to do a great season or two for his boyhood club before leaving for richer contracts. For kids like him, handshakes mean feck all.
I'd much rather have some South American player that doesn't pretend he loves and lives the club 24/7 but will give 200% on the field. That's the players we want to keep, not mercenaries. Unlike Neves i won't miss this guy at all. If he plays against us i won't even whistle but i'll never applaud him either. We reclaimed the title without his contribution so we can do it again.
Hes sounding a bit like an Azculapeta (sp?) sort of transfer, coming out of nowhere as a full back. I hope he follows the same trajectory.

His sister lives in London. Apparently, his family moved to England whilst he is continuing his career at Porto?
Don't mind me being stalkers.
You obviously haven’t read the McTominay performances thread. It’s full of idiots who are far from patient.United fans are generally very patient, especially with young talent who show a work ethic.
I think this makes a lot of sense as well. IF we were to get Toby and Sandro, together with another first choice RB like Sidibe, it will mean that our starting back 4 next season will be filled with new players - 3 out of 4 of them. Playing Valencia with Dalot as a backup and quick learner will give the newer players in defence more time to settle and give Dalot more time to get used to the league. Let's hope the deal goes through!
