His last few games have been his best little run of form for the season, but he was off it again today (especially in the second half). Very poor for that second goal in particular.

Did well for our goal of course, but overall it was a poor match.

I thought he was one of the better players in a bad bunch.

It's no surprise that he has started to shine this late into the season. Bruno too.

I think they are 2 of our only players who are fit enough to keep up any sort of intensity late into a season.

Every player in our squad needs to follow his fitness regime.

The run for our goal was really good. But thats what it was - a good scene. It isn't enough. He has this driving ability, Ruben should sit him down watch Valencia videos for 48 hours and have him play like that. He is a good athlete and his technique is good but his mentality for going forward is just too timid. And by all means, it probably is because he doubts his own ability and everybody can understand why. I don't get why Ruben doesn't try to play Garnacho there. I mean, what could happen, the league doesn't matter anyways

The way Livramento run past him... I'm still annoyed with that. As you say Dalot did really will for our goal but that was a cheap goal to concede (3 of 4 were today cheap).

Not sure I can agree when he gifted livramento a run down the line for their 2nd

Physically he’s one of the best in the squad, but he’s not progressed at all since his one good season, he needs to be replaced and kept as a squad player at best.

Every time I praise him he goes and does something stupid (their second goal). I give up with him.

Shine? Thats probably a little too much, isn't it? I mean, there aren't many who talk about Livramento all the time yet he delivered a performance today, people would get ecstatic about had it been delivered by Dalot. No doubt, Dalot is a very good athlete and yes, unfortunately he stands out because of it but thats more criticism of his team mates than plaudits for him.

He is the type of player to pass the ball to a team mate under pressure and hope he gets bailed out rather than deal with the ball himself. No team should have players like that

Garnacho should be played there, a rather decent attacker with a room to grwo as a defender than ok, defender and sub par attacker. The problem is who we play out in attack? We have no fecking options.

He's deserved quite a lot of criticism this season, but this is a bit of a strange one. He's one of our more comfortable players at dealing with pressure and being pressed.

Yeah, no doubt, thats an issue. Worsened by the bad luck with injuries. By now, it might be too late to attempt that switch of position, maybe should have tried it earlier. Feels like a lot of Amorims ideas have gone against the brick wall with the injuries. I guess it adds up to the feeling of non-existing progress.

Dalot isn't good enough but he at least has enough guts to take the ball and try to progress things alone if needed.

Our defenders passing the ball to each other like it's a live grenade is a huge reason for our dogs-t build up play.

We need to stop saying “he’s one of our best” and just say what he is, below average. This thinking is killing the club

He did well, playing a key part in our goal, but otherwise he was shite for most of the game.
Hopeless as a “wing back”.
Too scared and timid to go forward or make forward passes.
Hopeless defending, being bypassed time after time, including being responsible for their 2nd goal.

He’s had plenty of good spells and games over the years, but mostly been sub-par over the same period.
That’s not good enough for a Man Utd player.
Totally unsuited to Amorim’s formation, either as a wing back or as one of the back 3.
Time to get rid while we could get something for him.
Unfortunately, with limited resources and PSR headroom, our priorities will lie elsewhere.

.

Never seen a defender at this level get done like that at such an important moment in the game. It’s unfortunately not the first time he’s shown a lack of fight.

Their second goal, I’m not convinced it’s a clear cut case of Dalot messing up there.

He made the decision to cover Livramento if he cut in, and allowed room for him to go outside because there was Maz already behind for that purpose. Even then, his ball across could have been cut out at the back post (not Dalots fault).

I don't get him, he does good things and bad things, his run for the goal was brilliant, he made excellent passes in the middle and then he let Livramento move past him with ease for the second goal, he works hard at times and at times he is lazy.

I think he's great physically and even technically, but I just don't think he's very smart on the pitch. Talks intelligently off it, mind

Man Utd 5:4 Olympique Lyonnais New
Well taken goal. Dropped off after 55 minutes like most of his teammates.

I really hope we listen to offers for him in the summer. He's one of the only players we could get good money for. Solid RB, versatile, good age and never injured. Just isn't good enough to take us to the next level, nor is he a natural RWB.

I think he was knackered to be honest. He plays more or less every minute of every game. I don’t think he is good enough though and we need to sign a RWB

He's played so much, I'm sure fatigue plays a big part in why we see him making silly decisions so regularly - he's always had them in him, but this season has taken it to a new level.

There's a decent footballer there, but he doesn't really excel at anything, except staying fit (which, in fairness, is something a lot of our squad is rubbish at).

I thought he played well, on the whole. Lovely goal. We badly need a rotational option for him, though. He seems to play every minute.

Was crying at the end.

He gets a lot of stick - the one i heard today was a poster claiming he isn't fast when he is literally among the fastest players in the squad. He has been avaialable all season, and played most of it as LB/LWB. Cut him some slack - there are a lot of areas that need improving first.

He may not be good enough, but he’s bloody fast. Rashford said Dalot is always one of the fastest players on speed tests, and the eye test confirms this. He should use his speed more, and his timing in both attack and defense is often off.

It must be take an immense amount of mental and physical work to keep going in his position and in this team the way he had for the last 2-3 years. He's started consecutively something like the last 100+ games or something right? Insane.

Fantastic goal, dropped off in the 2nd half and was a bit lax in his defending. It is what it is. He needs a rest and it's very clearly affected his general consistency (decision making/positioning etc) but we all know it's not going to happen.

He was good in the first half with a great pass for Bruno's wonderstrike off the bar and took his goal well. He was gassed after 60-70 mins and really struggling to kick the ball forward but the manager didnt choose to take him off

He did that plenty last season. I just don't think he has it in his legs as much this season. I'm pretty sure he's among the top 1 or 2 most high intensity sprints too in our team, which is more alarming when he played non stop for 2-3 years.
