Not a winger obviously.
Definitely. I don't think he's looked good in defence at all. As a winger he's been impressive. It's why, even though he's not great himself, I'd have Young starting over him for sure.Yeah his poorest games have been at fullback. Wouldn't have minded seeing him wide in a 433 again.
No complaint from me. I think he did fine.
"Good in attack, lacking in defending, still raw" is getting repetitive.
It's within expectation.
With how many people claim he should be our starting RB then no it isn't within expectation of a starting RB for a top club.No complaint from me. I think he did fine.

Nope. Lingard was MIA.To be fair to him, did he at any point get one option ahead of him on the right hand side? We just ignore the whole side of the pitch.
I don't see it with him if I'm honest.
I like him better as an energy sub bringing some pep off the bench than starting at this point. Just not ready, especially as a defender in these big games.
Disagree, I honestly think he is world class already. I know that sounds crazy but Mbappe is world class at the same age. Dalot just oozes quality.

That’s quite a bump on the head you’ve had.Disagree, I honestly think he is world class already. I know that sounds crazy but Mbappe is world class at the same age. Dalot just oozes quality.

Or could mean that he wants a reliable option at right back. Getting a first choice rb with Dalot as a cover and Young being back up for Shaw on the other side would make sense.I read rumours that Solksjaer is looking for a new RB, which can only mean he's pushing Dalot to right wing. Not sure how I feel about that.
He made 18 passes all game with a 66% passing rate and barely touched the ball. He may as well not have been there half the time, kept forgetting he even was. Himself and Young were playing the role of one player. He was nowhere near doing well. He did feck all and our whole right side was completely non-existent because he rarely got involved in attacks while not defending either.
I'd like to know what the feck the actual game plan was for the two of them.
You're willing to bet that our RBs average 18 complete passes a match with only a 66.66% pass completion? What!? Of course they don't.I’m willing to bet those stats are similar for every RB since Pogba started being given that free role on the left side of central midfield. All our football goes through him so all our football goes down the left side. The fact we’re so one sided is one of many tricky problems Ole needs to fix and tells us very little about Dalot’s quality.
What did tell us something about his quality was the cross Lukaku should have buried early on and the skill that got him to the byline in the second half. Those were encouraging moments.

Young's recent games
Watford: 37 complete passes, 77%
Arsenal: 47 completed, 81%
PSG: 23 complete, 85%
Southampton: 49 complete, 76.6%
Palace: 28 complete, 75.7%
So as expected our RBs don't average anywhere near 18 complete passes or 66.7% completion.
It's not a sign of his quality, it is a sign that he definitely didn't play well like someone above claimed and is just a simple proof of him doing feck all the entire match. More than his quality, it raises the question of wtf was he meant to be doing out there? Why were him and Young sharing the role of one player? He rarely got forward, he offered absolutely no options out the right wing, he didn't do much defending and he spent most of his 83 minutes standing out on the right off screen never getting involved in anything. More than questioning his quality, it is questioning Ole's quality of tactics because what exactly was he meant to be accomplishing all match?
