Diego Costa | Back to Atletico?

This. London is one of the most diverse cities in the world, I'm pretty sure you can get any type of food you want and with supermarkets these days I am sure you can cook up anything you imagine.

Terrible place for Mexican food. I actually laughed at what I was served :)

Also a joke when it comes to bartending. For such a drinking culture, if you want an actual cocktail made correctly, good luck. You'd be lucky if your bartender even knows what's in a Manhattan. They won't have the ingredients anayway.

First time since Drogba that Chelsea have actually managed to sign a striker that doesn't disappoint, not a chance they'd let him go back to Spain after a year. I could see him returning there eventually but it won't be for another 3-4 years before that's even possible.

Also, Atletico have supposedly activated Vietto's release clause and he's going to be their main man in coming years. He'll be a €50m striker pretty soon.

Thing is, there must be something to this story. Came out of nowhere from a number of outlets.

The main thing is there has been obvious denial from the Costa camp which would be incredibly quick and easy to do for such a pathetic story.

However, i don't think he's actually 'unhappy' at all, I'm guessing he's seen the pay packets of his colleagues and wants more.

Nothing to see here

Whoah that good huh?

Surprised we're not in for him given his relatively low buy out clause.

I wish this story was true but surely he wouldn't want to leave after winning the PL and adapting to the league so quickly.

I bet you found the beer warm and flat too?

The guy goes to London to eat Mexican food. Whats next? McDonalds isn't as good in UK? ..

You're going to the wrong places.

Its amazing what a couple more wheelbarrows full of cash a week can cure.

Cocktails? Girls drink cocktails mate :nono:

A Manhattan is certainly not a girls drink! ;)
I'm no expert, I don't drink but I can't imagine any fella ordering a Manhatten or any cocktail, in an English Pub. Maybe I'm just out of touch - packed it in a good few years ago - my body is now a temple, to chip butties & vimto. ;)

Haha yes def not in an English pub, but some people don't go to pubs ;)

Its also a hole.

According to Marca he's also disgusted by everyone in the city having crap teeth, Jack the Ripper on the loose and Dick Van Dyke refusing to shut the feck up as he sings "Chim Chim Cher-ee" on his fecking roof.

:lol::lol:

I doubt he wants to leave, but even if he does, no chance that Chelsea would let him go. They are always pretty firm when it comes to controlling their transfers (unlike United).

where did you eat?

We've seen this type of story times in the case of CR7. Journalist asks player are you missing your previous club.

Player says yes gets twisted to become player is unsettled and wants to leave.

Player says no gets twisted to become player sticks two fingers up to fans of previous club and is glad to be out of the shit hole.

Everywhere, I lived there briefly and then moved to NW England and we went to London constantly for weekends with friends. Went to hundreds of restaurants, bars, and hotels. My experience was that the London dining/beverage experience is extremely overrated compared to other major cities. English bartending is caveman level at best, pulling pints off a tap or mixed drinks where the name is the recipe (ie Gin & Tonic). If you want more than that you are asking for trouble. I saw someone use a cocktail shaker once, too bad they had to pull out a bartending book to find the recipe for the drink I ordered. Hong Kong? San Francisco? New York? Now those are places you'll find someone behind a bar professionally trained to make proper drinks... I'm not surprised that Costa is underwhelmed by what London has to offer. He seems like a man with a refined palate.

It may surprise you to learn that in UK cocktails aren't considered a proper drink which is why few places sell them. Cocktails are strictly for mums, hen nights & teenagers. Beer, wine, spirits are proper drinks. Anything with a pink umbrella, not so much.

Costa was talking to Chelsea TV earlier today:

‘I was glad to play,’ said the 26-year-old. ‘I’ve been injured for a while, it’s important to play and I was really glad to get a game in before finishing for the season.

‘It’s an amazing experience, two different cultures, firstly in Thailand and here in Australia. I have memories from this tour I will take with me for the rest of my life.’

Looking back on 20 Premier League goals, the league title and the Capital One Cup, Diego Costa believes he can be satisfied with his first season in England.

‘It’s really good to come in the first season and win two things,’ he said. ‘It’s really important and next year I’ll be ready to come back and hopefully win a couple more trophies.’

Finally, he was asked to comment on news reports suggesting he was unhappy in England.

[It is] quite a simple answer,’ he said. ‘It’s always a bit more difficult in the first season for adaptation, but I have no reason to leave this place, I love it, the fans love me and I want to stay.’

Even if he wanted to leave chelsea wouldn't sell. He scores at a ridiculous rate.

I'm 3 years older than him and he could pass for my dad. Oldest 26 year old ever.
