Did he really play for them?

Thomas Gravesen at Celtic is a surprising one to me, his time at Real Madrid has been mentioned a million times. Celtic was his next destination on a 2 year contract but they loaned him out for a second stint at Everton after 1 season and then he retired.

Di Canio was at Celtic?

Doesn't seem like the kind of chap that would be too popular among their fanbase...

West Brom complete the signing of PSG defender Diego Lugano on two-year ...

Michael Carrick played for Swindon Town
And Ururguay captain Diego Lugano played for West Brom (I though he was older when he signed for them, but just checked and he was only 33)

Luc NILIS - League appearances. - Aston Villa FC

Belgian striker Luc Nilis at Villa. He was outstanding for PSV and formed great partnerships with both Ronaldo and Van Nistelrooy there, but got injured after 5 games at Villa and his career was over.

I forget Miroslav Klose had four seasons at Bayern, too, even playing in a Champions League final for them (albeit off the bench).

Brazilian right-back Maicon played for Man City.

Finidi George at Ipswich. Paulo Futre at West Ham. Alexander Hleb returning to England, playing on loan for Birmingham.
